Book/DVD swap 3pm Saturday 23 July

Post by dtaai-maai »

We haven't had a swap since April, and huahinjim, who usually sets these things up, hasn't been around the forum lately. It would be a shame to let these occasional get-togethers die out, and it really is a case of the more the merrier. Unless, of course, you like paying silly prices for 2nd hand paperbacks.

Any interest for a swap on Sat 23 July?

I looked in the Obits column this morning and no mention of me so I must still be here!!

Thanks DT :D 23 July is looking good.

I've been aware that there hasnt been a swap for a while but with uncertainty re bars closed for elections & Buddha days last/ next few weekends, I've been waiting to get a suitable date.

Do you have a venue in mind?

James, my dear chap! Nope, the baton has now been passed back to the swapmeister. Will you get in touch with Dick's Office? :thumb:

Cheeky ********** :D

Probably late next week before I get into Hua Hin again. I'll check with Dick's Office then and confirm (or otherwise) the 23rd.

Let's hope we get a bit more interest first! It would be very helpful if those planning to come along would say so here.

(Jim, let me know if you're not going to be around and I'll be happy to contact Dick's Office.)

Bibliophile Rooster seeks Lit-lovin' Chicks for Book Swap!

Forgive me, but I thought I'd try to get the bad jokes over and done with...

A Concerned Citizen has advised me that ChickyNet have regular book swaps that are hoping for better attendance. Are there any ChickyNet members out there who can put us in touch with the organisers? Please PM me or huahinjim or post here.

Hi All,

I have confirmed with Dick's Office, Soi 80* that 3pm Saturday 23 July is ok for the next book/dvd swap.

See you there :D

Jim
* Turn into Soi 80 from Petchkasem Road and Dick's Office is on the left hand side, a few hundred metres up the Soi.

(Mods - can you add date/ time to the thread title please? Thanks!)

Thanks to the (few!) members who turned up & Dick's Office for the hospitality. Nice to see you & thank for the books.
Next swap about 2 months time.
