I'd very much appreciate any recommendations for a shop near the main police station in Hua Hin capable of laminating a copy of my main passport page and current visa.
Many thanks.

Isnt it amazing that pp are not on cards nowadays
Re: Laminate passport
Sorry can not help with your request.
However, I can laminate up to A4, and would be happy to do this for you, but It would mean a trip to my house on Soi Mon Mae.
I have created a word template to scale a scanned copy of the main page and permission to stay stamp to fit a standard 65x95mm pouch, wallet size.
Although driving license should suffice it gives greater peace of mind.
PM me if I can help.

Just in case you are not aware, it is not necessary to carry your passport. Only time mine has been needed is when conducting official business or opening a bank account.duan wrote:I'd very much appreciate any recommendations for a shop near the main police station in Hua Hin capable of laminating a copy of my main passport page and current visa.

You can gwt a copy of the main page made and reduced and laminated at a shoo in the bottom of Market Village.
I'm not even sure its kegal to laminate the passport because it could be viewd as an alteration.

RCer, OP states he wants to laminate copies, not has passport. Although not enforced Thai law states that you must carry Thai ID or Passport at all times, Thai driving license has your passport number and will normally suffice.
Slightly off topic a copy of your car registration will not suffice as original must be in car. Which to me seems weird as if the car is stolen you loose everything!

Missed the "copy" part.

If you can find the laminating sleeves, you can do it yourself by using a hot iron and putting the sleeve with the item in it between two sheets of A4 paper on a hard, smooth surface. It works surprisingly well.
