Local Handyman

Post by PeteC »

I don't live in Hua Hin as you know, so this is a suggestion and a thread to post up your local names and contact details for Thai people who fit the bill.

Where I've lived here I've found it invaluable to know a person or small company who are jack's of all trades, but not quite masters. Plumbing, basic electric, cement and tile repairs, painting...basically anything minor to minor+ that needs to be done, but you simply don't feel like it, or capable of doing.

You latch on to one of those guys, or small company, they are worth their weight in gold if they're good IMO, and you save a ton of money compared to the big specialists. Pete

but not quite masters
This is the problem with the one's we've used. They either do a "Thai workaround" fix which is unsightly and, in many cases, temporary, or they break two other things while fixing the one we called them about! :banghead:

Been here nearly eight years and am still looking for a good handyman! :|
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
