Hua Hin beaches closed due to dangerous surf

Post by PeteC »

Can anyone verify this with a printed article or first hand photos/video?

My wife heard it on her car radio about 30 minutes ago. It was reported that the entire coast around Hua Hin is under siege by rough seas and extremely high surf. Pete

By Hua Hin standards, I would say that Pete’s description was fairly accurate of the photo!!

That bay area of PKK can turn into pretty much a washing machine with the tide up and the wind blowing in as it's a crater of an old volcano.

I guess they've never seen the Pacific, Atlantic, or Australian Bight.

Opposite Soi 94 the water is very high, nearly to the wall, no beach to speak of, and the water is rough in comparison to normal, but obviously not high waves like in that photo.
