There are no sunbeds or chairs for hire if that's what you mean. I've just had a long walk on the beach today. Some restaurants may offer a sun bed where there premises border the beach.

No umbrellas, no chairs, no food....but you can take a towel to lie on like in many countries and amuse yourself. They are cleaning the beaches on Wednesday didn't you know.

you close the beach because you are cleaning it.
You do NOT clean the beach.
BUT, nobody saw you not cleaning the beach, because the beach was closed.
The budget allocated for beach cleaning can be put to 'personal uses"
Why can't you farang understand this simple process.

High tide happens twice a day (roughly) so ....beach cleaning twice a day, and all day on Wednesdays

Not in the Gulf of Thailand it doesn't........it's one of 2 places in the world that only has one tide a day!

This web site clearly shows two high tides a day in Hua Hin, this Wednesday roughly 06:00 and 18:00

Not necessarily, as the article also states "The reversals are relatively quick, taking place in April and October." so it's entirely possible that for at least part, if not all, of those 2 months there are 2 tides/day

It's just that I have been riding along the coast road all day and did not see the tide go out....anyone else lazing on the beach today and saw a double the usual tides?

In Jomtien and Pattaya beaches are closed Wednesdays and I think I read
that Thursdays may also get closures, just to tick off the tourists.
Nice to see the vendors get a day off durimg the week though as they
can sure be busy on the weekends.

Yep, It's great that the vendors get a day to fast - since they can't afford to feed their families on Wednesdays. And fantastic...Thursdays too? Great idea. Please someone hand out a management award.
