I've lived here for 4 years now, and still find plenty to see and do.

Anywhere in Thailand should give you wall to wall blue skies and sunshine until April. However, you might hit the occasional freak storm like the one we had yesterday - doesn't last too long, and can be quite refreshing.

As BB has said, you can spend 14 days in HH and find plenty to do to stop you getting bored, however a two-centre holiday might be even better. There's a lot of choice of wherelse to stay, either north like Chang Mai or head south to somewhere like Krabi.

A lot less chance of wall to wall blue sky, but you might be lucky. A lot more chance of rain. However, Hua Hin is one of the driest places in Thailand, and we rarely get more than 2 hours rain (usually between 3pm and 6pm) on any day.

October is a great time to visit. Weather is good apart from the thunder shower at 3pm or thereabouts. It does refresh the whole place.
However, not too many Scandi tourists so restaurants and beach are not busy. Plus Bluport will be open by then to add a little more interest.
Being at the Hilton you are close to everything but worthwhile to go to Cicada Markets adjacent to Hyatt Hotel - Friday to Sunday.

Yes better stay away when the Scandi tourist is here, they pay dobbelt for everything and are also to blame for the weather.
I would actully put them beside the Chinese,Rusian,African and muslim terroist as well,so try to avoid them.

You better start hiding cause in less then two weeks me and my wife will be arriving. Here in Sweden it's almost 20 degrees centigrade below zero and we are planning to take the weather with us to HH. So be afraid, be really afraid... 8)

Everything to do with tourists is open every single day of the year. The opening hours never change. Many things like small supermarkets, McDonalds, Burger King NEVER EVER close. In the shopping centres the banks are also open in the weekend. Shopping Malls are normally open from about 10:00 until 21:30. Many restaurants do not open until the afternoon but there are still many, many restaurants open at all sorts of weird hours. Menu's are never based on the time of day or the day of the week. Everything on the menu can be ordered any time. If you want Green Curry for breakfast then it's up to you! As far as the weather is concerned in Hua Hin you can probably go to the beach every day of the year. When it rains it hardly ever lasts more than 30 minutes and a daytime temperature of 25 degrees or less is totally unknown in Hua Hin.

We're coming over for a month and I already feel that it's too short of a time for us. 8) Love Hua Hin and Thailand.

For the past few years we have taken 4/6 weeks in Thailand visiting different places. Think this will be our last and next year will base ourselves in Hua Hin. Always find plenty to do there and it's possible to reach plenty of other places for say, a long weekend.
