Well done B.B., et al.,
unfortunately I haven't been able to support this year due to a change in the old financial situation. Hopefully I'll be in a better shape 2016 to donate time and financial aid.
Great job once again from the Hua Hin Forum.
Regards,
GN.

We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Big Boy for his tireless efforts in managing the appeal and to all of those that contributed to it.

It makes us very proud to be running a forum when we see such generosity and kindheartedness from its members.

Yes, we have to praise BB and wife, as well as their neighbours for their efforts.
Big applaus!

Guys, I've decided to use this thread rather than start a new one.

There will be no appeal this year. We've asked the school, and they have come back to us, and have said they need nothing this year. However, we will still be making our annual visit again in 2 days time (28 Sept 16 - very sorry for the short notice).

Any of you are welcome to join the convoy out to the school, where neighbours will again be ensuring the kids and teachers will have full stomachs (there's always plenty enough for visitors on the day as well :D ).

Mrs BB and I have bought a few treats for the kids, as will other visitors. I don't know what is being provided this year, but we normally have 2 or 3 of the world's largest tubs of ice cream, and plenty of fizzy drinks. This really is a memorable day, and it's like Christmas for the kids - they are fantastic and enjoy every moment. It really humbles you to see the gratitude of these kids who have nothing.

Casting my mind back to a previous visit, one of the moments that still brings a lump to the throat was kids being offered extra chicken - one little kiddie asked if he could take his home for his mum, because she loves chicken, but can't afford it. (LOL, my eyes are welling up as I type). It was a special moment.

If anybody would like to come, please PM me urgently. The big problem this year is that I am not aware of spare seats. Please let me know how many you are, do you have transport (terrain is rough), do you have spare seats that you'd be willing to share. At a push, I will have room in the back of my truck which I can fit a couple into (need to fit treats as well).

The day is usually an early start (about 7am from my house - will discuss in reply to PM). We normally get back to Hua Hin between 3 and 4pm.

As I've said, treats are gratefully accepted, but you will be under no obligation. As always, I do not recommend passing money to the school, but your choice.

Again, apologies for the very short notice, and we'll try to accommodate anybody who wishes to join us.
