H.H. & Cha Am farang muggers caught..

Today my wife showed me a report on her phone (showing the usual line up of perps, with MiB stood behind) of the gang that has been mugging westerners over the last month or more...both in Hua Hin and Cha Am.

Sorry I cannot publish the photo, ('cos it's on her phone)..but Mrs U.S. told me one youths was the son of a prominent minivan tour operator in town. Even tonight I heard the story of a Swiss couple that got mugged on either 94 or 102 last week. Another lady we know was mugged near her home 3 weeks ago..her bag contained her cards etc).
IF any forum members know of any victims associated with these youths (careful choice of words there)..may I suggest a visit to H.H. police station.
For once may I praise the H.H. MiB for (maybe..unless it's open season for brown envelopes) bringing the gang
to justice...

was it two lads on a bike i know of a mugging on soi 88 any chance you can send the photo or download it to here ,then i can show the lady ,these were caught on ctv but not a great picture

I usually see most of these mugshot type photos. This is the only one I saw published yesterday that might fit the bill, Maybe US, in light of his download difficulties from his wife's phone, can confirm or otherwise.

I've asked 3 Thais what the Thai text says, but I've received 3 different answers

Fine nicknames for a snatch and grab gang. Fatty, Shrimp, Little Boy and, of course, the leader, Big Boy.

The real names were also published, but I'm not sure if we're allowed to name them in English on the forum.

The article mentions they were active in Hua Hin and Cha-Am, about 15 muggings along side San Paulo, and unspecified numbers elsewhere. Based in Bo Fai area. Victims were typically farangs or women.

Police recovered a number of phones and 2 Honda Wave bikes.

Anyone who suspects they were victims can go check out the perps at Hua Hin police station.

The article also mentions that the gang leader recently completed a 4 year prison sentence in Prajuab jail for robbery. On his release last year he recruited his 3 friends and they stole and mugged as described above, selling the goods to buy yaa baa, which they sold and also used themselves.

Scum worthless people, hope they get long sentences.

In fact it says that the 3 friends are also ex cons. Prison seems to be good for introducing like-minded people to each other.
