Due to Labour Day and the paperwork needed from the British Embassy, it's looking like the funeral will take place on Tuesday,at the big temple in town, with the wake at his favourite bar, Romantic on Bintabaht. All are welcome. Let's not make this a somber/ sober affair, he wouldn't want that! The Yorkshire Tyke would want to go out with us all smiling and a drink in our hands. If anyone has photos of him could they forward them to Usual Suspect and we'll decorate the bar. Thank You on behalf of the family to everyone who has contributed to to his medical expenses. Romantic Bar have kindly provided the wake and all profits from drink on the day will go to the family.....a lovely gesture.

Thanks Nokyai. I don't know if it will make any difference, but my son says Tuesday is a bank holiday also.

A very generous gesture by Romantic Bar.

I guess we won't know definitely about arrangements until he comes back to Hua Hin. I'll try to keep people posted as I hear.....but these are out broad plans.

Rest now Richard, many good times over the years arguing whether chips were best cooked 2 or 3 times. Proper good bloke and one of the originals here.

Sad day! I chatted with Richard a couple of times over the years at forum member gatherings. He will be missed on and off the forum. Sincere condolences to family and friends.

I only knew Richard from forum and he certainly knew how to stir the pot, a character, who will be missed, by friends and family.
