Top of 94 opened one night for owners birthday and was closed 11:10 that night due to the complaint of initial hotel, this was brought about by the use of the hotels car park without consent, like wise there’s no permission for the sale of alchole , the property owners (then) refused to sign any permission, thus closed.as for now if a change of heart or change of business owner I don’t know, over a million bhat was spent preparing the host birthday party saw about 90 people in attendendance and parking is hard to find .its directly next to the tj burgers and Gay hairdresser

Next time just ask for a pink burger. If they don't understand all you have to do is clarifying and pinpointing what you have in mind.

It's that time of year again, when the team review the local entertainment areas, identify changes and produce a forum map. The first one was Soi 94.

A few major changes to the map this year, we have excluded side roads and areas such as the Circle (previously known as Permsup) and the Racing Market. The logic behind this is the fact that every man and his dog seems to be opening bars and restaurants in the most unlikely of places. Because location, location, location is everything, most of these places will have closed in a few months. Even bars and restaurants in popular areas are struggling to survive.

If somebody feels strongly enough about the Circle, which is predominantly a Thai entertainment area, we could consider a map based around the Circle (because it is predominantly Thai, identification of names could be difficult).

So remembering we have ignored many of the side streets, the Soi 94 changes have been identified as:

Change of Management/Name

Pizza 94

Now, that is where the listing of changes ends, but I have 2 more questions please:

PEX Bar has been getting a lot of social media pumping, with promotions including giving away gold - I did not see it on Soi 94 - does anybody know where it is?

Around the G complex, there was a lot of publicity for Hua Hin Finger Bar (at least a dozen posters), but it was nowhere to be seen. Again, does anybody know where it is?

What we need now is some expert intervention (you guys) to tell us where we've got it wrong. We will investigate every comment received up to and including 21st November. After that date, the detail will be sent to our cartographer, who will update the map, and it will be cast in a tablet of stone until next year.

Shaka Cafe has been closed for months.

Only signs of life I've seen at Muay-Muay for months is a For Sale sign.

Thank you. Hmmmm....... always a difficult one - we're in the doldrums of low season - will they re-open or not?

Many bars surveyed today had For Sale signs up, but still open.

I don't want to reject your observations, because we're grateful for the help. I think we'll leave them in, but mark them as potentially closed.

It's a shame the map don't extend a little bit. You Scandinavian Kitchen in the Circle whis has expanded to Scandinavia wit live music. And in Dusit Land you have Golden Break which imho is one of the better pool bars in Hua Hin/Soi 94. Also not far from Dusit Land you have Yellow House restaurant which makes decent Scandinavian food.

If you read the lead into this years map, there is an offer to 'try to' include The Circle in its own right as an entertainment area if there is any demand. However, that area is difficult because of the many great bars and restaurants in the area, most only have Thai signage, and are meaningless to the review team. We deliberately ignore premises with Thai only signage.

As for the place in Dusit Land, it has always been ignored because we have assumed it is a clubhouse for residents of the compound only. Is it open to the public?

Yellow House has been included for a few years. Don't forget, I'm only including changes in the above listing.

Golden Break in Dust Land is open for all. Have very good pool tables and in December there will be tournament and possibility to meet and play Efren "Bata" Rheyes. Probably the best pool player of all times.

I'm 99.9% sure Shakra won't re-open. As far as I know the manager has been let go and it's available on market since months.

Cheers,
B.
