Pricing could be the swinger..
..lots of attractions = big bucks, maybe they'll structure the new waterpark same as that folly Nr the airport..where you buy tickets for each individual theme/ride/splash inside..??
Let's see if B.M. gets washed out to sea this coming high-season..?
(Get your earplugs ready..I foresee the mobile ad-trucks with their booming speakers for each venue constantly trawling round & round town)

Wonder what the moaning minnies will say?

Well it will certainly kill the thread about living on 45.000 baht per month.
I guess I will have to change it to 55,000 baht

Do it on Songkran and you don't have to worry about drying off between parks

Well Hua Hin is going to change completely. In fact is has already from the Hua Hin I moved to 20 years ago. Traffic is going to get even worse for sure - it is already shocking. Just happy that I have 3 houses and other land plots because they are just going to go up even more and I will probably move out to nearer Springfield.
Is there really a need for all these waterparks? Black Mountain waterpark hasn't worked out the way they wanted. Who knows.

The web site says 2014. I heard (please don't rely on this) that it was due to open next month. I drove past twice today, and it's looking pretty good.

Thanks BB. Then I guess there's a decent chance that it will be open i February 2015 so I can try it out. But who knows... I'm looking forward to updates in this thread when the park really opens.

Even with Thai time factored in, I think you should be safe.

Someone ought to permanently station an ambulance out there especially at the southern end where traffic is still trying to make Uturns rather than come back up under the flyway to come back into town. There will lots of business for them hauling bodies into the local hospitals.

And for extra fun there is plenty of traffic coming from the south that wants just to cross over to the road in front of the water park instead of going to the goofy but somewhat safer roundabout that also takes them under the flyway.

Indeed, the BIB ought to set up a booth as they could make a mint with 1000 Bt fines rather than the 200 Bt small change kinda stuff they are getting about town.
