Hi,
Could anyone tell me if there are bars, restaurants and shops on Khunklong Road, or will I have to go into centre of town for everything. Renting a Villa there for a month in Jan. Thanks in advance.

Re: Bars, restaurants on Khunklong Road
Khan Khlong is the canal road. Also known as Chonlapratan (or Chonpratan) Road. All the sois are now numbered: e.g. Chonlapratan Soi 1. The numbering starts from the far north of Hua Hin and continues down to Pae Mai. Even numbers on the west side of the road. There are certainly shops, such as convenience stores (plent of 7-11), homeware/hardware stores, liquor stores, etc. There are bars (though not generally the farang style - farangs tend to congregate at small convenience stores (mom & pop style stores) which sell drinks and may have TVs available to watch football) and restaurants. There are also various markets depending on the day of the week, the biggest being at Pae Mai on Tuesday evenings.
