Container Germany to Hua Hin / Thai Customs

Post by MajorBloodnok »

Hello, :)

I am delighted to report that our container has finally arrived safe and sound,
no damages either. :D

The German firm that took care of everything was an associate of DB Schenker by the name of Anterist & Schneider in Saarbruecken.

The container arrived within one hour of the eta, and the Thai crew of 8 did a professional job like their German colleagues, emptying the container and carrying our household stuff into the house. :thumb:

The container had not even been opened or checked by Thai Customs.
So I could have brought my German World War 1 rifle. :banghead: LOL

The transport has cost us 5,200 Euros plus 28,500 Baht Customs duty.

By comparison - a Victorian infantry officer's sword that I imported straight from Britain cost 35,000 Baht in Customs duty!

Kind regardds,

MB
