Black Mountain water park project
Re: Black Mountain water park project
Oh, I'll be on it, rubber dinghy rapids. Bars a bonus.
Re: Black Mountain water park project
Yes, but it's a 'pool bar', attached to the lazy river. Stools are under water. You'll need a cozzie. You'll have to get wet. They've got you. .... you'll have to pay. Enjoy the ride mwahahaSTEVE G wrote:I thought about that as well, you pay more for an adult despite the fact that the only thing I'd be doing there would be paying for family to get in and making sure they didn't drown; does it have a bar?Super Joe wrote:Don't know on that one. You would think they'd let non-sliders in free, but then again they have no system once you're inside to know who does what... no little yellow rubber bands on your ankle

Or simply buy a can of Leo/Chang/Singh from any of about four kiosks

As far as I understand, it's 250 for non-swimmers and the last time I was there they said that it wouldn't change on that point.
Yes, there's a pool bar but there's also a restaurant/bar for food and drink so you can sit quite comfortably and have a beer. They don't take cash so you allot money to a card and top up as necessary.

Waterpark black mountain
Has anyone tried the water park. I've read some articles saying Thai waterparks are not as strick as European ones but what I really want to know is, is the equipment safe, do they let kids truck and trailer down slides or are are lifeguards responsible. , how popular is the place.
Re: Waterpark black mountain
I spent most of June cycling past the place everyday on my daily route around the area and I would say that it's pretty quite., how popular is the place....

Maybe that's why they have put up numerous posters declaring a 50% price reduction?STEVE G wrote:I spent most of June cycling past the place everyday on my daily route around the area and I would say that it's pretty quite., how popular is the place....

^^ That's good news for me. Been planning to take the girl there for some ehh, swimming lessons, so next time she's down we're going for sure now. Glad we'll have the place to ourselves and when I take off my shirt you will be too!

Re: Black Mountain water park project
I have been four or five times now and have to say it's a great little addition to what Hua Hin already has to offer. The only time I didn't enjoy myself 'as much' was when we went on a long weekend - it was so packed we couldn't get a seat at the restaurant for 20 minutes or so, rubber rings were all taken and it simply wasn't as peaceful as the previous times. Of course, being packed out is good for the business so...

Went a couple of times in May on weekdays with the GF and son, it was quiet so no having to wait to go on any of the slides and plenty of rubber rings.HHTel wrote:As far as I understand, it's 250 for non-swimmers and the last time I was there they said that it wouldn't change on that point.

The lifeguards very alert to what was happening in the wave pool and they were straight in if they seen anyone in trouble.
Re: Black Mountain water park project
Tried it on a Sunday and was quite busy but no real waiting for anything, very modern with great choices of slides etc.
I would say it is worth a visit, burns a day up

Re: Black Mountain water park project
So the quiet period has truly ended for this place then. People have found it and are using it.Tried it on a Sunday and was quite busy
Really was great when you had the whole place to yourself but....it wouldn't have been open much longer if it had continued that way.

Re: Black Mountain water park project
Went there last Thursday and there was only about 60 people there.Safety wasn't a major concern ,the only dangerous ride is the wave pool with quite a few younger kids getting hit by the foam surf boards. The life guards should of been in the water and there was only 2 of the overseeing the pool
Re: Black Mountain water park project
Sounds like a wonderful place. I can't wait to try it out.
I'm glad it's no longer quiet... I'd hate to it to be an echo chamber.
Only one thing to say about the life guards, and that is, they're there only for our added safety. If children are in dangerous pools, then the children's parents should be their main guardians!!

Took the family there again Saturday as usual the kids had a blast and I got a sun burn. There was a group of girls in bikinis and photographers. Not sure what they were shooting for but the girls were HOT! Too bad they didn't stay too long
