I normally check the weather on this site.

Quite a difference of opinion and it will be interesting to see who gets it right.

That looks like a thorough forecast. I have Google as my home page & use this gadget "Weather Forecast Monitor by GFarry". Has quite a few locations that can be loaded so at the moment I have where I live & 5 different places in Thailand loaded.

it looks as though it was only a couple of mm on sunday, and looking at the Wunderground forecast, it will only be 2-3mm a day (if it rains) for the next week. someone told me that soi 156 for example, didnt get any. lots of lightening goin south pranburi / kuiburi at 5am - 6am, but no rain we could see when we were driving.

So, whilst the Thai forecast is getting the sun wrong, the rainfall side is pretty much a draw. we just had a lot less than 1mm on soi 116 this afternoon (if someone outside hadnt told me i would have missed it !)

I would much prefer a nice 10mm one day, and then 6 days sunny/dry, then 10mm etc etc...

Here's a current weather report you can bet on... HOT... Hotter than hell! The only thing that is keeping me from spontaneously combusting is that I am always soaking wet from sweat! I've lived in the deep south of the U.S. (Tennessee), Florida, California, and Saudi Arabia, and I've never experienced heat that is as miserable as S.E. Asia :cuss:

Wait until next month. This morning here in Rayong at 0500 hours the heat index is at 96F/36C. It will be well above 105/40 by mid day. Heat index is what it feels like combining humidity and temperature. Pete

Trivia for the curious.

Hua Hin: Latitude 12.6 degrees north.

Where I am in Rayong province: 12.7 degrees north.

Pattaya: 12.9 degrees north.

Now we all know how to aim the artillery. :D Pete

Pete the weather guy here. :D

For those who haven't noticed, the winds have shifted as of a week ago, now coming predominantly from the southwest. Precursor of the monsoon arriving.

Not too soon for me to kill this bloody heat!!! Pete

Winds? What winds? Monsoon, does that mean rain? What Monsoon?

Pete, it's hotter than Hell here (literally, I think) and dryer than Death Valley! :(

I wanted to use the crying smiley but I have no tears because I've sweated out all my body moisture!  :D

Yes, be very careful of this heat. Below is a chart to refer to from time to time. Sorry, in F only but am sure most can figure it out. Pete

PS: We are in the DANGER zone most days now and EXTREME DANGER perhaps once or twice a week.

I can go along with that. I walked the beach to Khao Takiab on both Friday and Saturday (about 7kms). Yesterday it was two rounds of golf (9 holesx2) dragging my clubs around.
Today I feel pretty drained. It wasn't as if the weekend was especially hard beer wise, but I've slept most of this afternoon and will rest again tomorrow. Wednesday I'm up for a bit of golf or walking again. Gotta lose some weight.
