I've just been seeing the pictures of the damage in Udon Thani on Thai TV news - what a contrast to here.

IMHO the (stand alone) ATM which was ripped out of the ground and blown away says a lot about the ferocity of the storm.

Thunder, black clouds over the hills and the wind is getting up. We could get a drop of rain in about an hour.

They keep saying that, then a following report saying the rainy season may be as late as July. So many times it looks like rain but doesn't happen.

I don't think anyone really knows!

Some hopeful articles about the southwest monsoon which affects India and us here. When it finally starts to rain I'm going to get a chair, a few cold beers, a few cigars and go out and sit in it!  Pete

Constant thunder, cooler temps and very dark skies for the past four hours here in the south facing east......but not one drop of rain so far. :banghead: By saying "I doubt we'll get anything...." perhaps we'll be flooded shortly. :D :? Pete

How is the weather in Hua Hin at June? How are the waves at beach? Are they too big for going to swim?

^^Four hours of anticipation and all we got was 5 minutes of drizzle. :banghead: It's been about 60 days now getting nothing but dirt, bird poop and now heavy mist falling from the sky. Tomorrow's another day....I guess. :( Pete
