Re: Thai Football 2023/24

I've done a Big Boy review of the goal, and unusually, I agree with VAR, they got it right on this occasion. It was the player on the edge of the penalty area. However, there was another VAR review when a penalty was awarded to Ratchaburi, and then taken away again. Having reviewed that footage, I ...

Re: HTMS Sukhothai - Crew Abandon Ship

I think in a vessel of that age, such rust is inevitable. Wasn't there an earlier report either saying repairs were overdue or such repairs had been neglected? With a large amount of the fleet ageing, they should be doing an urgent inspection of other vessels. At that time, the commander was unaware...

Re: Has Your Food Shopping Increased?

The idea of this thread is a comparison of shopping in shops, not restaurants. Of course the UK restaurants will be more expensive with overheads such as rent, rates and labour costs. All things that are comparatively cheaper in Thailand.

Re: Decommissioning a device

Thank you, that's great advice regarding the tablet. I have no worries regarding the new owner, but its extended family that I don't trust. With the lappie, that sounds like something Mr. Don could do for a few Baht. The laptop was actually recovered as it was being thrown out about 6 years ago. My ...

Decommissioning a device

As many will have read, I have recently purchased a new tablet. Additionally, a few months back I upgraded/replaced the laptop permanently connected to the living room TV. I now have an old tablet and a laptop that work, albeit a bit slow, but they are still functional. I've promised the tablet to a...

Re: Looking For New Tablet

That sounds sensible, but the only other device it would fit in my household is my wife's phone. OK, my phone and old tablet are ancient, but my son's and DIL's stuff if pretty new. It will not fit any charger in my household. It is fortunate my battery pack has multiple cables built in, so I could ...
