Wednesday closing of beaches

I have not seen the army cleaning the beaches in Hua Hin, or in Jomtien Beah area
of Pattaya, since I came to Thailand on January 5th. When is The government, TAT, or
the Army top leader going to change this rule that was imposed on the beach vendors?

Re: Astronomy, cosmology and space thread

Earth has a very small, micro moon in orbit, for now.
Guess it has been in orbit for a couple of years so far, and may be with us
for a few more years.

Re: Thai Logic - Poor business so raise the price

I still see houses being built around Hua Hin area, yet many other properties are only partial developed, or worse, built but never lived in. I guess that is Thai development logic.
My wife has warned me not to buy, before her family can check things out. It has been
great advice.

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

I love all the sunny days, since I have visited Jotien Beach, and now in Hua Hin.
Was hoping for some overnight rain when it was cloudy a few nights ago. Anychance of rain before the 11th?

Re: BKP Soi 88 food market and Chang!

I am boycotting this place, as I think the rich and greedy owner does not care if the expats or anyone is upset by his greed. Shame on Chang doing busiess this way. Thankfully there is another place , Paemai Food Garden at the south end of Canal road, near the Tuesdy night market. Good food, and liv...

Re: 737 Max banned from Singapore airspace, grounded worldwide

Actually the B737 max should have all had the 2 safety features before being sold, and the aircrews should have had more actual flying time before being allowed to be in the cockpit. If the systems had been turned off the accidents likely would not have happened. I still think that Boeing had better...

Re: Travel photos that show how Thailand has changed in 30 years

Thanks for the pictures, and I did manage to get to Phi Phi Island before the Tsunami and it was a lot less developed. I also remember Kata Beach Phuket when there was a neat place called Friendship Bungalow, which got torn down. Good memories though. I still like to come to Hua Hin tho and may go t...

Re: Thailand tourist slump continues

Well I am hoping that there are lots of places to stay in Hua Hin in January to March. I have heard of the low numbers and it is mid December. TAT sure know how to try make the numbers seem positive. I think a few more people are trying out Vietnam for a holiday, and are liking it. My relatives said...

Re: Global Warming 2

I only have a suggestion that the US president quit having 2 B747s fly each time he goes out of the country. Maybe a bit less use of the gas guzzling helicopter as well. Even the Senators use 2 jets when they all fly around. I wonder how many Americans realise just how wasteful their politicians are...

Big Boy I enjoy your humour. Thanks for the chuckle. I even got a 7/11 to take my
Canadian money as I overheard that the fellow working there was headed for Canada in a few days
and was looking for some.

I do not like staying above the 3rd floor for this reason. I may survive if I have to jump from the
balcony, .RIP to the unfortunate woman.
