Re: Premier League 2010-2011
The thing is I really rate 'Arry as a manager and wouldn't mind him managing England, not that it will ever happen, partly because of his reputation but also because of his impending Court case with Her Majesties Revenue and Customs. But he has the worst record imaginable of leaving clubs that basic...

Re: How much would it cost to live in Thailand (HH) for one
but some people enjoy a higher standard of living than others eg. a nice meal in the little chinese restaurant at the top of the Hilton will set you back a few thousand (thats a couple of grand gone and you have only eaten dinner!) do this daily and you will need closer to 200,000. No girl problem ...

Korat would be an obvious half-way house. Check out Koratfarang.com. Ex-pats are scattered all over the place as are the bars. Its cheap as well. SF's from up that way, so could advise more. No beaches though - well not by the sea in any case. Phi Mai's a nice historic small town, with a few ex-pats...

Re: One for the Cricketers
Well, the current match deteriorated into a farce! England beat Pakistan by an innings and 225 runs England: 446 (139.2 overs) Pakistan: 74 & 147 (36.5 overs) The whole thing stinks and what's interesting is the beeb's commentory on one of the no-balls alleged to have been betted on - how the he...

Re: Premier League 2010-2011
I see Lampard and Terry have injuries but I can find nothing about how long they'll be out. Any news in the UK? Pete  Routine op for Lamps and nothing keeps JT out for long! Seems he's been carrying his present problem since pre-season and I think he's been awesome since the start - nothing...

Re: Manhunt in Thailand for British boxer
As for the death penalty, the UK usually seeks assurances that won't be applied as part of the extradition deal. But yes, I'm sure an argument will be put forward about HRA and conditions in Thai jails and even about the legal system in LOS. I'm not saying two wrongs make a right, but we have allege...

"Has the World economy suddenly improved without my noticing?" Apparently, yes  or so say the figures the president of the largest bank in south east asia gets, further he said he was now bullish (+ve) on the Thai property market despite the possabilty that the recent signs of globa...

Re: getting marriage paperwork sorted
I would suggest you check the Embassy opening times first. If they're shut over that period, then that's an end to it. The affirmation thing is handed in one day, then collected the next, then needs to be translated, then taken to the Thai ministry to get authorised. A few years ago did the lot in 3...

And the flip side of footie for a young, talented pro, whose had to quit. I thought he could have developed into a great player and this is sad news. I wondered why he wasn't in the squad?

Newcastle 6-0 Villa. http://fc05.deviantart.com/fs18/f/2007/186/8/c/_jawdrop__by_Kermodog.gif I think even B'pool could have beaten Villa on that performance. Surprised they bothered getting off the bus, as anything else was obviously too much effort. :guns: Fulham v the Mancs was good, especially ...
