Re: Football World Cup 2010

And Drogba's at it again............... :banghead: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/world_cup_2010/8722701.stm It will actually be a huge blow to the competition if he doesn't make it. He's idolised in many parts of Africa and is without doubt, a true world class player. He's already carryi...

Re: Football World Cup 2010

So, a lot has happened since the last post in this thread! Anyone have any views on Englands very own El Capitano by default getting injured, in, er training and having to miss the competition?!?! Based on Ferdinands season of a handful of league games and 21 in total and his patchy performances and...

Re: Football Transfers 2010

the facts are clear, he is under contract for 5 years whether he wants to go or not. if barca want him they'll have to make an offer that's somewhere near the current market value. if ibrahimovic was recently bought for £60 million plus, then fabregas is worth at least £70 mil, if not more :| I rec...

Re: Eucalyptus Farming

I should point out that I'm absolutely no expert! Just what I have read in various articles and books. But the stuff originates from Oz and its suited to the environment there, but taking it to an another area and ripping up what was there and planting this stuff instead impacts on the soil and affe...

Re: Life in Isaan

One of the better one's to farm in Surin is eucalyptus for its oil and used for paper production in this part of Isaan fruit does not really grow hence why the majority still grow rice. Kendo.  Good post Kendo and also introducing the thorny subject of eucalyptus. Its introduction ...

Re: Life in Isaan

My wifes family have given up selling their 10 rais worth as its not worth their while. Its retained and bartered instead. Sad state of affairs and as has been said above, what you pay whether in LOS or here in the UK, bears no relation to what the farmer gets. The profit goes elsewhere.

Re: Political un-rest and rally

Appologies for the length of the post, this was a piece by Robert Woodrow that I received by email - hence couldn't provide a link. Makes interesting reading though..... Staggering! To believe that you have only just come across this. I find that frightening. Read Spitfires post then google it or w...

Re: Political un-rest and rally

Also, I don't think the UK would allow him to be too politically active while he's there. You are kidding! Check out the history of the UK and harbouring terrorists who have operated freely in the UK causing mayhem elsewhere and based on the premise, 'they won't do it here' - 9/11 and 7/7 ...

Re: Political un-rest and rally

I don't think they can be serious about wanting him extradited as surely they must know that: 2. No one may be removed, expelled or extradited to a State where there is a serious risk that he or she would be subjected to the death penalty, torture or other inhuman or degrading treatment or punishme...

Re: Political un-rest and rally

Hmmm. so a 'closed' Court ordered the arrest of Toxin on terrorism charges, I guess that could be seen as a tactical error in two regards.......

Anyways, whats the ultimate punishment after he's found guilty by another closed Court in his absence?
