Re: Foreigners need business visas to attend meetings in Thailand
Most foreign visitors simply ignored the law and risked arrest by entering the country on a tourist visa to participate in meetings. Arrests were rare, and people took the remote risk for granted. I imagine that most visitors did not, and in fact entered the country on a visa-exempt stamp, declarin...

Re: 2018 F1 News and Prediction Tournament
Note: I'm not sure the below is correct with qualifying on Sunday and the race on Monday, unless they are basing it on their SAF HQ time which they've never done before. Check the news as we get closer...... Screen Shot 2018-10-07 at 14.38.14.png Yes those times are correct. The Qualifying takes pl...

Re: Getting into Central Bangkok from Swampy
The problem with the express line train was that while the journey only took 20 minutes, the train ran once every 40 minutes. The city line train takes about 45 minutes but going once every 20 minutes. So, unless you happened to arrive at the train station at a time close to departure for an express...

Re: Last baht bus?
It all depends on how much you're saving on your accommodation, though. A baht bus in the morning at 10bt, followed by a motobike taxi back at 100bt isn't a massive outlay.

Re: Anti-foreigner cop, 'Big Joke', lands top immigration job
His comments about the Koh Tao girl, his comments on the foreign cave diver rescue team, and his leading of the foreigner crackdowns in Bangkok. If that doesn't qualify as xenophobic I don't know what does, the guy is a schmuck. Ok, fair enough. I'm not aware of his comment about the Koh Tao girl o...

Indeed. I assume they're just reporting the news? I haven't been able to find another source for it yet. Certainly a private tour company won't have the authority to be issuing visas electronically on behalf of the government.

Re: Hua Hin - Pattaya ferry service news and updates
Personally, I think this bus is more comfortable than any taxi, and generally driven in a much safer manner. Taxi may be a little faster. While this is true, taxis do hold a couple of advantages, specifically on the HH-Pattaya route, if you can afford them. Firstly you can go whenever you want, and...
