A bloody goat of all things
Just felt like mentioning this and maybe learning something at the same time. A little while ago my little girl, age three saw some goats at a goat farm up the road and of course she wanted to stop and look at them. One thing lead to another and so we ended up buying a little goat from the farmer wh...

Yes right, I've heard ducks fart before. In all my years in Thailand there has never been a single day when I could not buy alchohol. The only places who are forced to abide by this crap are places such as Tesco, 7/11's and some other places. If anyone can show me a Thai owned cafe that will not sel...

and here I am always complaining because I get no time for myself. I would give anything to have a few days where I never had anything to do........lol. Seriously though, with the wife at work six days a week and having to look after the two little ones, clean the house, cut the grass, feed the dogs...

I stayed in the UK for ten years and now just as many in Thailand and my thoughts are as follows:- Lets just say we broke some minor traffic law in the UK - the police would stop you, you would have to blow into a pipe, fill out out a bunch of forms, go and pay a fine or appear in court, get points ...

I know everybody has their own reasons for wanting a nanny but unless both parents are working fulltime, do you really need one? Afterall, part of the joy of having kids is the taking care of them and by doing it all yourselves, you get to mould the kid in a way you see fit rather than the way a nan...

From my own past experience, they are not too worried how many bottles you bring in when arriving. The customs chaps at the airport are quite laid back and unless you brought it to their attention, they won't bother you. If you were stopped then just play ignorance and smile a lot which will see you...

I'm sure that most, if not all of us had sweeties and sodas when we were kids and we've all made it this far so I really don't see why kids today should have to go without. On the other hand I don't think parents should provide an endless supply of these for kids and if done correctly, a lot of the ...

Thanks guys although I never got around to checking this thread before going down. Anyway, did the Anderman club route and everything was just as it always is - quick and easy. To the last question on here, yes I have spent a night on the Burma side but I can't remember what hotel it was. There are ...

Never had any problems with Home-Pro. Did go in once looking for cornice, the shapely bit that joins your walls to the ceiling. I was shown everything from bathroom fitting to curtain rail....lol. In the end I just pretended to be interested in something else so as to allow them to save face. They h...

Good places/shops My favourite is the little local Thai shop down the road. I can sit there undisturbed while I enjoy a beer and if I need the odd job done around the house, they're quick to arrange it for us. Other good shops include Home-Pro, Tesco, the super market near the square, etc, etc. Quit...
