Re: Golf Club Hire

If you are playing a number of courses I would strongly recommend the golf shop opposite the back entrance to the temple on Poonsuk Rd ( Near'ish to Hilton), owned by a Scandi otherwise Black Mountain have excellent sets

Re: Should Amazon open a fulfillment Center in Thailand!

I am not sure what a fulfillment centre is, but it seems a strange word to use when it seems to be a basic service centre. Anyway my experience with Amazon, first ordering from USA they added some incredible amount for import duty ( when in my experience the value would have been handed over by Hua ...

Re: Married Men Doing Grocery Shopping

Whether single or not, I do the shopping. I have never found a S.O. that can be trusted to do it! Like big-kev, I find it really quite therapeutic and quite resent anyone interrupting my reveries over the pasta sauce with prodding about the dull realities of toilet paper. I have learned through exp...

KINDLE FIRE

I bought a Kindle Fire from Amazon whilst in the UK last month and I cannot switch on the wi-fi now as it seems stuck.

Anybody with an idea as I do not think there is an agent for Kindle in Hua Hin. There is in Bangkok but I seldom go there.

Thank you

Re: Sterling Pound / Thai Baht

With UK interest rates due to rise almost certainly this year then you can expect the pound to continue to strengthen against the Bhat - generally financial markets take this into account some months in advance. Buying rate at Thai Banks 55 today - So will it go all the way to 60 ? I don't see why ...

Re: Hua Hin Golf Gossip

Hi fellow golfers, how good are the courses in Hua Hin ( Black Mountain, Banyan, Imperial and Majestic ) during rain? Are they draining very well? Has anybody here experience playing these courses during the wet season? Cheers B-H I do not know about Majestic but all the other courses have very goo...

Re: 90 day reporting on non o visa

I returned to Bangkok a few weeks ago and as my 90 days reporting date was some 2 weeks away I asked the immigration officer at the airport if he could stamp my 90 day form which he said he could not. I then reported to HH Immigration Dept 2 weeks later. So I am not sure what can be done - HH Immigr...
