Re: Rip Off Hua Hin

All one can do is never go back. Find another dealer and ask the price before accepting, if not happy go somewhere else.

Re: Contractors at The Energy Hua Hin 'not paid for many months'

Many people apparently bought off plan with the intention of selling before the next payment was due, they couldn't ...

Re: Hua Hin Bluport Mall news and updates

Really? Do you have photos please? Swede at 450 Baht/Kilo at Villa Market is no joke. Funny, but Thais who eat Swede and Parsnips at our house are usually tasting them for the first time - maybe its down to the way they're cooked. Could not get to local market due to rain but they have parsnip at M...

Re: Minivan, bus and road accidents

Unless driver monitoring is introduced as in the UK and Europe nothing will change and we all know nothing will be introduced in Thailand so all this is irrelevant

Re: GBP vs THB

Pound tumbles to 31-year low as Brexit angst persists The pound dropped to a three-decade low, as investor concern about Britain’s exit from the European Union welled up after Prime Minister Theresa May’s announcement that she would begin the process of leaving the bloc in the first quarter of 2017...

Re: Contractors at The Energy Hua Hin 'not paid for many months'

If it were me, when the first payment was not paid, I would down tools and walk off site. If nothing was forthcoming after that, I would go back and rip out all the work I had done. Why carry on for over 8 months, with no payment? It is not always so easy to do as you state, many contracts have cla...

Re: GBP vs THB

Same with Oz Dollar which has also crashed, no one ever thought these currencies would go through such turmoil. Now if we have savings in these currencies it costs a lot to draw it out.

Have to wait to see if the improvements are implemented. 2 years ago funds were allocated to bury overhead services along Phetkasem, guess what, it never happened.

Re: Chinese tourists (and their habits) surge into Thailand

I believe that many hotels only list a small amount with the booking agencies. That way they hope that they can book direct and save the commission. So when Agoda, or others, say only two left, I believe they mean two that can be booked through agoda. So more than two left, but not a direct lie??!!...

Re: Hua Hin Bluport Mall news and updates

Who is operating the supermarket, and do they stock any unique items you can't get elsewhere, or is it just a case of comparing prices? I was disappointed with their imported veg section. The things I specifically looked for was parsnips and swede, products we often have trouble finding. Zilch. IMH...
