Does on obtain the re-entry permit at the Hua Hin Immigration office or can it be gotten, for example, at the airport when exiting?

you could try to gently pry off the key and using pressure reapply it.

It seems the connection may be bad and resetting the key may establish contact again.

I understand that it depends on your VISA

a tourist VISA, such as my VISA can only get a one year license

if you have a retirement visa, I am told that the the first license is for one year.
then qafter that first year, you can get it renewed for 5 years.

I have been reading a bit about the National park Khao Sam Roi Yot.
I have read that it is about 63km South of Hua Hin.
What are some of peoples experieinces.
Is snorkeling and swimming available there?
What about overnight accomodations?
