Re: U-Turns

What really gets up my nose is the ignorant p****s that come up on your left side while you are waiting to U-turn at any junction, but more so at a T type of junction. If I have to do a U-turn where there is no slip road, I always try to position as far to the left as possible, as if there is half e...

Re: Foreign tourists could be charged $10 for entering Thailand

30 Million x $10, that should just about buy a new submarine. But it must be that they are going to stop charging ALL Farangs double entry prices to tourist places, so that will even it out! :rasta:

Re: Employment for disabled people

It is disgusting how disabled people are treated in this country. Hypocritical barstewards! Me first, me first, I am a compassionate Buddhist that always considers other people, but me first, me first. :cuss: I am not yet needing a wheel chair, but I am partly dis-abled now and need either a crutch,...

Re: Buying a new laptop

You can no longer get Win 7(legally), and the Win 8 offer is about to expire. I was still running XP at the time. I would also suggest that 4 gig of ram will be a PIA and would spend a bit more to upgrade to 8 gig.

Re: Paying Water Bill

If you go up the road towards the railway station from the traffic lights, the road into it is the second one on the left past the park. It is one way and the office is down the back, not on the road frontage.

Re: A Defender too nice to get dirty

Worldwide there seems to be an ever increasing interest in old cars. It even seems to me that the local True Visions cable TV would have very few programs to repeat over and over again, if it were not for the proliferation of car restoration programs. The cost of some of the restorations is staggeri...

Yes, exactly. Or maybe they can get that lady judge to go with them and "explain" how to do it. :rasta:

Re: 10th Tourist Court opened in Hua Hin

^^ another report says that she has a history of similar outbursts and is actually mentally ill. She no longer handles cases but is restricted to paperwork. Mmmm I kind of feel sorry for her, it must be a very stressful job. I really don't think it's a case of mental illness, but more of a case of ...

Re: A Defender too nice to get dirty

As far as I am aware the Australian Army did not use the lightweight. But for sure there are some there now. They were mostly used by Nato Forces, but the first ones that I came across were in Brunei in the late 1970s. There are several ex DOD low mileage units listed for sale for 9,000 GBP on a dea...

I hope this one is not one of the judges:

Judge throws a tantrum, again

A judge was caught on camera losing her temper and berating people around her when she was issued a ticket for obstructive parking.

Re: A Defender too nice to get dirty

I post this here for those interested. It is far from being a complete history of the marque, but may fill some gaps: What is a “Defender”? I have owned a Land Rover in one form or another for just over 50 years. I have had a Series 1, Series 2, Series 2A, 2 Door Range Rover, and now a Discovery. Bu...
