Pay the 200 baht and carry on with your life. I have acted as if I was deaf and dumb once and it worked but not easy keeping a straight face. When I did it, it was not about the money but rather just for a laugh. Ten years in Thailand.................3 parking tickets outside HH post office, 1 fine ...

I've done a few Ranong runs on the trot and then got extentions in Hua-Hin and to date, I've never been asked to pay a fine for not reporting, so yes, I agree, they must be selective. If they did try to fine me, I would simply argue the point and say I did in fact report. With so much paperwork, the...

I think, although I could of course be wrong, that the Thai government don't really consider kids with one farang parent to be farang, but rather that the kids are Thai and as such, there's no need for them to attend an international school. Think about it.......there are not that many farang couple...

Having written several articles on depression and anti-depressants, (I've never suffered from depression by the way), I would strongly advise you to seek an alternative form of treatment before you start with any prescription drugs. Many are well known for their possible side effects and the fact th...

I've seen a few dogs run over since being in LOS and I've never yet seen a Thai person stop to check on the dog. I agree, they would only stop if the thought their car or pick-up was damaged. Unfortunately, and I hate to say this, but after several unpleasant encounters, I think I would do the same ...

How many of you 'Western' transgressors would ride around, in your own country, without a helmet? No license in my country means no insurance - a very responsible attitude. It's time you 'clever dicks' excercised some degree of responsibility and stopped telling everyone how clever you were to wave...

All my belongs back home were simply given away as I never felt the need to have to go back. During ...
