Re: What should I see and where should I eat in Hua Hin, Thailand?

Let’s not try to frighten the guy away...  Actually, I'm pretty sure all the info and recommendations he's asked for are already here on the forum. It's just a question of taking the time to have a good look around the forum: The Beach Bar, Feeding Time, Events & Activities, etc....

What should I see and where should I eat in Hua Hin, Thailand?

Let’s not try to frighten the guy away, but as you might have gathered JamesDavid, there’s a lot of variety on offer so if you give a bit more information about yourself (and anybody else travelling with you), it will help focus the details.

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading

Re: Customs cost of international parcel

I was under the impression that Amazon didn’t deliver to Thailand but I just tried a dummy order and selected a torch and the item was just under £14 and the estimated delivery and customs charge was £10 something!! I’m not placing the order but it certainly looks possible!! Sent from my iPhone usin...

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading

I watched Passenger yesterday. Police procedural but quite spooky. Not perfect, a bit muddled and a bit sketchily scifi (mostly just hinted at until near the end of the series). I thought the characterisations were generally really good and I'll definitely watch the second series. It ends on a clif...

I will order an item from Europe with a size of 140x50cm and about 5 kilos. I wonder what the extra cost of thai customs, etc. Does anyone have experience with that?

thank you very much
I’m sure it will depend on what is being shipped, rather than the weight/size of the package.

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

This was in the Telegraph - I’ve pasted the full article because you normally need to subscribe. Beijing could remotely stop electric cars manufactured in China on UK roads” sounds like the stuff of dystopian nightmares, but this is the real world in March 2024. MPs have been warned that EVs could b...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

My son has just taken over his bosses “hand-me-down” nearly 4 year old Tesla 3 Performance (dual motor AWD) and as the name suggests it’s very fast, particularly when joining dual carriageways/motorways when he claims it goes from 40-70 in the blink of an eyelid!! Not sure it would be for me with so...

Re: Asia & Further Afield

To arrive at an average you have to take into account the highs and lows - you’ll know roughly where you fit on the bell curve, so depending on that should answer your questions?
