Re: Laotian girl cut in half by speeding Porche

The point I am making is this is Thailand.. it really doesn't matter how well you can drive, there is always the risk of some bugger coming screaming out of a soi without looking giving the best driver no time to react. Agreed, to be honest my car won't do 140 ................... ( which is why I w...

Re: Permanent Residency

Good article, and reason why I haven't bothered applying officially. Police Captain Purachai agreed last week to lead the Pracha Santi Party into the upcoming general elections, and that pollsters see him as a credible contender for the nation's premiership. If this fascist xenophobic dinosaur gets ...

Re: Speed cameras/speed limit signs

The govt have tightened up a lot on getting licenses now in an effort to increase road safety standards. They still have a long way to go but it is a move in the right direction, the biggest problem on the roads is the lack of enforcement of the many road laws that do exist by the police who prefer ...

PAD ordered to pay B522 million for airport takeover

A Thai court on Friday ordered leaders of a protest group that occupied Bangkok's airports for a week in 2008 to pay millions of dollars to the airport operators in compensation. The self-styled People' Alliance for Democracy had sought to force out a prime minister they opposed. Criminal charges in...
