Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin

I'm sure everything will be made clear today. Just looking at Hhinner's translation. Item 1 states that 'Entertainment spots' , bars, pounds, etc, will close for 5 days. Then in Item 3 it states that 'Entertainment spots' must manage their space, tables, distancing, masks etc. or they will be closed...

Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin

Whilst playing a pool league game tonight, many bar owners were cancelling further pool matches saying the bars have to close from tomorrow. We have made 3 calls to police (senior officers, not plebs) and they insist that bars can remain open. I've seen 3 translations of this document, each one bein...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19) News

And let's not forget, vaccination does not make you 100% immune, but prevents serious illness, hospitalisation and deaths. (hopefully) Which is why I keep saying, "The re-opening of Thailand, and the arrival of diseased but vaccinated tourists." The population of Phuket now will not be th...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19) News

And when will that be? Thailand ranks as one of the worst in the world on vaccine roll-out. A virologist I quoted earlier predicts TWO YEARS before Thailand reaches 'herd immunity' And let's not forget, vaccination does not make you 100% immune, but prevents serious illness, hospitalisation and deat...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19) News

Dr Yong Poovorawan, a virologist at Chulalongkorn University, warned that Covid-19 cases will rise sharply in 2021 as people have become careless about the virus risk.  Yong said much money and effort would be spent combating the outbreak over the upcoming Songkran holiday, when millions travel to...

Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin

I think the point is to prevent crowds. AFAIK May is a pub/nightclub. Makes sense to me.

Several areas of BKK are getting more restrictions because of the rise in cases. 250 reported today.

Re: The best kebab in HH?

They're 'Chicken Wraps' and can be quite tasty. I've eaten them all over Thailand. Some very good, some not so good.

They shouldn't be compared with a traditional kebab. You'll be disappointed.

It is listed in PubMed Central, a free full-text archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National In...
