Re: The Beer Thread

Only that the first regulation that expired on May 4th has been extended for a further 14 days which puts it to around the 18th. There could well be a further extension. We'll have to wait and see.

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19

shown its vaccine is safe for members of that age group who are in good health
I guess most over 60's have some ailment. It's called 'getting old'.
Starting next month, AstraZeneca will be the main vaccine in the national inoculation campaign.
May be worth waiting a little while.

Re: VPN Recommendations

If this is really just rumours, there are scores of sites that confirm that it works. Just googling "getting cheaper flights using a vpn" returned almost 5 million hits. I've read a dozen or so, all different, and quoting actual events. With so much info on how to use it, it rings true. My...

Re: VPN Recommendations

I found this: Ways to Get Cheap Flights (Tested in May 2021) 1. Use a VPN to access worldwide fare deals A VPN lets you compare fares from different countries by tricking travel sites into thinking you’re browsing from another location. A VPN is a private network of servers available through an app ...

Also use a vpn for cheaper aeroplane tickets when that is possible again
I'd never thought of that. Interesting to know.

Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin/Prachuap

I've noticed that many graphics of late have plenty of 'round eyes'. Are they trying to make a point?

And now we have orange hair just to underline the point.

Re: VPN Recommendations

I'd guess that 8Mbps still downloads a movie in well under 5 mins so no big problem.
I'm just curious why the odd movie can take hours to download. Maybe because all the seeds/peers are in Outer Mongolia where they still use tin cans and string!

Re: VPN Recommendations

I've had ExpressVPN for a while now and I am very pleased with it. In 99% of downloads I get speeds of between 15mbps to 22mbps. However, there is the occasional movie that, even though it has plenty of peers/seeds, can take hours to download. Even changing the VPN server makes no difference. Maybe ...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19) News

Numbers for PKK and HH are starting to differ between reports. One shows PKK with 108 another shows 100. The same with HH. One showing 105 another showing 112..........

hhinner wrote: Sat May 08, 2021 1:57 pm Another thing is that the 105, as now reported, surely can't all be from the factory. There must be others around Hua Hin not connected to the factory.
It may be. Yesterday HH reported 23 cases of which 22 were from the factory.

But because I don't get rain, I use more water and electricity keeping my sprinklers going!
A 'no win' situation.

I'm being discriminated against. Call in the 'Human Rights Watch'.

However, on second thoughts, the electricity is in my wife's name (Thai).

Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin/Prachuap

I find that report highly suspicious. Firstly they got the number of infections wrong (no biggy) and claim this person had contracted the virus in a pub 5 weeks ago. If that was the case and he's in the habit of socialising in entertainment venues and 'hiding' his infection, then why is this outbrea...
