Re: Singha clinches B400m deal with Chelsea FC

Thanks BB, only saw the 'oddbin' post after I posted my other reply. I wasn't aware they were still going, they cut back on a lot of their London stores the other year. The two nearest to where I used to live both closed down (Richmond Hill and Norbiton branches).

Re: Singha clinches B400m deal with Chelsea FC

Oh okay, I should have qualified my earlier answer by including oriental stores, certainly the biggies like Wing Yip sold it in London and a few of the smaller indepedent stores. I was thinking more of mainstream stores?

Re: Is Driving a Car Enjoyable Here?

2nd attempt (lost 1st post)? I went with sometimes, from my limited experience. Bangers and Hua Hin are definite no-no's. The area where my wife comes from about 100k NE of Korat is good where the roads are good. But I really enoyed driving around the Bang Saphan area and further south, from Thap Sa...

I don't and I agree with you, as per my earlier post. I'm just curious as I have never seen it for sale here.

Re: Scousers uncertain future

One thing no one has mentioned is that no matter what happens, it will be better than life with the present owners. I would expect knowledge of that fact alone will give the team a morale boast. I expect them to come out of the gate red hot and do well this season. :thumb: Pete  Ah, but the...

Re: Singha clinches B400m deal with Chelsea FC

You know, Chang have been sponsoring Everton for a good few years now, but not once I have seen their product on sale in the UK (apart from at Thai festivals), so I assume the marketing is for Thailand? It's plentiful in this little bubble we call Bristol and Bath. In fact I was drinking Chang at a...

So who's gonna takeover at red scouseland? Two reports from the same paper, 15 minutes apart, posted from different continents, have two different views - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/liverpool/7929522/Whos-in-contention-to-takeover-Liverpool-and-what-hope-do-they-...

You know, Chang have been sponsoring Everton for a good few years now, but not once I have seen their product on sale in the UK (apart from at Thai festivals), so I assume the marketing is for Thailand? Singha is really expensive in the supermarkets that stock it (Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury's - mayb...

Re: Hi there

My hashing name is Who ate all the pies Nowt personal and not aimed at your good self, but if mentioning the pie song, you cannot avoid the 'you fat bastard' bit. So that would be Merv Hughes then - as he waddled out for the aussies at the Oval circa ? Whatever, he was not amused, which just turned...

Champions League 2010 / 2011

Might as well start the ball rolling for the coming season. Celtic crash out at first hurdle to Portuguese side FC Braga and now have to go into a play-off to qualify for the Europa League. That'll cost them a few quid. It has to be said that Scottish football is at an all-time low at the moment and...

Re: Rheumatism and Arthritis

I've arthritis in my knee and ankle, both via playing footy and other sports I guess? Ligaments shot in the knee, which kept 'popping out' before I suffered a major dislocation (leg in plaster for 6 weeks). Ankle made worse by a break and dislocation, that's when I learnt I had arthritis there! I ha...
