Re: TV series worth watching/downloading
I watched Passenger yesterday. Police procedural but quite spooky. Not perfect, a bit muddled and a bit sketchily scifi (mostly just hinted at until near the end of the series). I thought the characterisations were generally really good and I'll definitely watch the second series. It ends on a clif...

Re: Routine expat Blood Donors request
Does anyone know if they have blood storage facilities anywhere in HH so those with these super-rare groups can stash some for emergencies? My late wife had that problem last year. Blood only keeps for I think two or three months so it has to be ditched after it expires. Hospitals will check around...

Re: Best bus operator to get to Sukhumvit?
The ekamai bus has no reserved seating so if it's busy you can sit uncomfortable for 4 hours with a bag on you lap It's about 5 stops on tube from centre of soi cowboy etc The airport bus has more space and more expensive But then about 40 minutes and some changes with a walk to get to central part...

Best bus operator to get to Sukhumvit?
I have a question also. Which is the best operator from HH to be dropped as near as possible to Sukhumvit? Vipawadee or airport are a mission away.

Re: Replacement knee surgery
Until the MRI it is all guesswork. Of course, that's fair comment. Yes I made that point. He' may just require meniscus removal that's why I mentioned that easier and cheaper option if possible. Most people think of 'knee replacement' until they've investigated what the terms mean (and had the MRI ...

I love Yorgos Lanthimos as director too. I don't think I've seen this one, thanks.

You're an action film junkie, we all have our thing!Dannie Boy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 8:20 am Just goes to show how easy I am to please!!
On reflection it’s clearly not a blockbuster movie, but I never felt like turning it off which I’ve done with many others!!

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading
I gave up during ep.3 of Netflix's 3 Body Problem highly rushed/compressed, with huge chunks of the story missing and terrible characterisations. Others who haven't watched the epic Chinese version or read the book might enjoy it but it's very thin fare. Anyone who wants to watch the 30 episode Chin...

Re: Replacement knee surgery
He chose HHH and booked in to the VIP suite, which actually makes BH look 2nd rate. Of course, HHH was a fraction of the cost. Very pleased with everything that happened. The procedure was all initiated by the doc in the clinic opposite HHH (he actually works in BH during the day). I had no idea th...

Re: Replacement knee surgery
Had a knee menisectomy last year at Bumrungrad in Bangkok. Lumbar anaesthetic so I could watch the op on a big screen live and chat with the surgeon. Easy op, a week or so definitely on crutches and then over to a walking stick for a few weeks. I did my own physio at home. For me it was around 6 mon...
