PKBCXKT - Thank you for the kind words and the information you posted. I was beginning to think no-one was really interested in actually solving problems today with the posts I'd seen so far. I would be interested, as I'm sure others would, to hear how things progress, and if there is anything I can...

What happened to my post and the ethics thread last night?

I know this subject is starting to take on a life of it's own but last night before going to bed I spent a lot of time replying to a new thread called ethics, and now can't find either my post or the thread at all. I understand a couple of the mods are fed up with this going on and on, but this is s...

Whittler - I'm a Yank from California and our friend Norm is one too from other regions. We've both managed a couple of years without maiming anyone, but it hasn't been easy....... :P We'll look forward to meeting you......I'm 64 and Norm's more than that but I'll let him tell you just how much. We ...

I can't go to bed with out vetting this idea I have...... Because of the lateness of the hour and the nascent formation of this idea I'll try just to put it in broad strokes for what I hope will turn into meaningful conversation and action. It seems many agree there are problems with both builders a...

Sandman - Maybe we're all missing something here.......there isn't any lack of Thais on a holiday. Our beaches are full of people, our condo is bustling, and the restaurants that look so empty during the week are full. Maybe it's like this: Cha Am is the Thai version of Hua Hin......because when our...

Lindo -

My post was in response to comments on your original post....I think my brain works just fine, thank you, and I'm quite capable of determining where and what I want to comment on.

Sorry to go against the grain folks but all it takes to be happy here is the proper attitude. Well......except for the bank maybe. We actually have clerks in Home Pro that come and give us a hug when we see them.......my last memory of having a clerk give a rats ass about us in the States was......m...

Hi Charlie - Thailand is famous as the "Land of Smiles", not the land of courtesy...... You make a lot of valid points about things that drive us all up the wall constantly, but when in Rome, yada yada...... My Thai wife of 20 years is famous for her daily verdict that "they're not af...

No Baa Baa, they went down and stayed down. On the issue of beans, tho, I didn't have any..... Speaking of.......We also went to Dave's Cantina a few weeks ago and I had a couple of very delicious chicken enchiladas, although I was surprised the beans were not of a Mexican variety......Dave wasn't a...

We went with Norm and his lovely wife and also enjoyed the experience immensely. Let's hope Fred gets enough business to expand his seating area.

I can still taste the wonderful flavor of the tacos I had and we WILL be back as often as we can.

Adios

Yeah, good luck with that. I've been going through that routine now for over twenty four hours. Mine goes to You Tube, looks like everything is working fine and starts loading.....eventually it says waiting for 74.125.14.94......... And the little circle dots keep going round and round and round and...

Someone sent me an email with a Youtube link.....it looks like it's loading but the stupid little circle keeps turning and not a damned thing happens....I've checked my firewall, cleaned up my cookies etc. and still can't get anything from Youtu...
