Re: Thailand Immigration: getting tough with guests (TM30 24 hour reporting)
I am a little confused by this. I own a condo and I am on a retirement extension valid until next January, and at the moment I am in the UK. When I return to Thailand next month, and am stamped in at the airport using my re-entry permit, am I then expected to report to immigration or blue port withi...

Re: Ken Thomson - Ex Crawfords Bar RIP
Crawfords was an oasis of dignified calm set against the scruffy low rent sleaze that is the Bintabaht area. Sitting on Crawfords small terrace, enjoying a drink, a plate of ham egg and chips, followed by a coffee and a cigarette whilst watching the world pass by was one of the joys of a visit to th...

Re: Backpacker jailed in Thailand for 'picking up phone'
The photograph in the linked article shows the supposed dreadlocks shaved off his head, but the name on the piece of paper next to them reads Christopher, (surname) Murray, and not Chris Dodd, the name given in the article as the backpacker arrested. https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/624/cpsprodpb/110B/...

Re: BBC Filming in Hua Hin - Macaques
These urban monkeys are certainly becoming a nuisance. Recently we came across a troop of them and they became very aggressive, they started screeching and baring their teeth and one of them leapt up and attacked my wife, luckily she sidestepped quickly, raised her arm, and narrowly avoided being sc...

5YR DRIVING LICENCE RENEWED AT PRANBURI
After recently posting here for info on how exactly to renew a 5 yr driving licence, I went along to the Cha Am Transport Office and asked for details of how to renew. Re: Airbus to end production of costly A380 superjumbo
That's a shame, it's a fabulous plane for travellers, even in the economy section.
Every one I have travelled on has been full full full.as airlines struggled to fill a plane capable of carrying anywhere from 500 to 850 people.

Re: Thai Driving Licence 2019
that's useful to know, I was under the impression that the renewal period was only one month. You actually have 12 months after your licence has expired to renew........ unless that's changed!

Re: Thai Driving Licence 2019
I don't need to renew until the end of the month, and I will renew at the office that requires the least amount of verifications, photocopies and paperwork. Having just renewed my retirement visa which necessitated a whole bunch of paperwork, copies, etc. I am quite frankly tired of jumping through ...

....and the haze that has enveloped Hua Hin the past few days?
is that pollution that has drifted down from the bangkok area, or is it just harmless mist.

My second 5 year Thai license expires at the end of next month and I need to renew it. I live in Hua Hin, last time I renewed I did it in Pranburi, the first renewal was done in Cha Am. ..... and if your UK will does not mention the distribution of your Thai assets and a Thai person should contest that UK will, your executors may become involved in a lengthy, expensive and undoubtedly nightmarish legal situation involving possibly conflicting legislation in two countries.

Re: Presenting IDP at police checkpoints
