Re: Spam and corned beef, sales of canned meat are booming

That is identical to the ones Orchid Palm use, if you give Gary the sales manager a call he may point you in the right direction.

Re: Buying online from Lazada

The money is sitting in what Lazada calls My Wallet, why I tried to withdraw it I got a message saying because I was non Thai I had to contact customer services first. When I tried both online and by phone I got no response. Has anybody had similar p...

Re: Dates when no alcohol sold in Hua Hin

I’m down to my last can of beer but have a few bottles of spirits I really touch (except gin and the occasional dram) however I have been experimenting with making cocktails. Favourite so far is Heineken 0.0 -plus a measure of vodka, stirred not shaken. Very nice.

Re: Buying online from Lazada

:agree: I've seen that poster plastered all over Facebook, and wondered if the people sharing it really knew or had thought about what they were asking for. What they are asking for is that China acts as a responsible member of the nations of the world. There are plenty examples of their disgracefu...

Re: Coronavirus Precautions - Hua Hin/Thailand

One of the benefits of wearing a mask is it stops people putting their fingers in the mouth and picking their nose. The latter disgusting habit seems to be a national pastime here. Absolutely it does! As I posted on this or similar thread last week a 'top' Consultant Doctor at Bkk Hospital recently...

I thought it may be of interest to report that some immigration offices are run efficiently and sensibly. BKK immigration office is a total nightmare in comparison.

Re: Covid19 - updates on immigration and visa extensions

I went to BuriRam immigration this morning to do my 90 day report and notify my change of address. I had my passport and blue book. In and out in 10 minutes. No T28 or T30 forms required. The sent me my user name and password by email afterwards but it's so easy to go in person I don't think I'd bot...

Re: How long could you survive self-isolation at home?

Hopefully the electricity supply will prove to be reliable. I had a petrol generator in Scotland as a back up not a bad idea for here now that I think about it. A significant problem though is the psychological aspect of being isolated, give it longer than 2 weeks and that becomes a problem for some ...

Re: Health insurance now mandatory for long-stay foreigners

Thanks for that, I sure some members who have had insurance for some time may have developed other conditions which would be classified as pre existing with a new company.
