Re: Bangkok Post editor removed from role

Umesh Pandy has repeatedly shown a lot of anti-government bias in the Bangkok Post, with never any criticism of Pheu Thai. Ah, so you're one of the trolls that plague the comments section of BP! Now let's just dissect what you have had to say. So the (ex) editor of the BP has shown a lot of anti-Go...

Bangkok Post editor removed from role

This is rather worrying. It seems Umesh Pandy allowed a very critical front page article about the Junta on Friday and he was removed from his position on Monday. Khaosod report the BP's Deputy Chief Operating Officer Nha-Kran Loahavilai stated, amongst many other things, the following: Nha-Kran sai...

Yes, well done Lomu - again!

I got into a good position to challenge and was there for a few weeks and then completely fell away, such is life.

Remember, I'm American, British sausages don't work for me.
But the Coffee club is Australian, so more akin to British sausages.

Re: Locations that serve a "good" Amercian / English breakfast.

Went to The Simbo today for breakfast at 09.30 and it was shuttered-up. Perhaps not open on a Sunday morning. It was shuttered at about 5pm as well. I go past quite a lot and most times I can never tell if it's open or shut, that's why I have never bothered with it. Don'r respond to queries, no men...

I wish I could find the sausages Coffee Club uses. Best I've had in Hua Hin.
Have you asked them?

Re: Any vegetarian restaurants in Hua Hin?

For the oxymoronic aspect, saying “most vegetarians” might fall in same context as saying “most christians” whereas most who call themselves christians never go to church. The ratio might be similar. But of course there are purists in every persuasion. That's a poor comparison. It's not complicated...

most vegiteribles do eat chicken and fish
Bit of an oxymoron saying most vegetarians eat Chicken! I doubt that's true.

Fish? Well one vegetarian I know does but another couple I worked with would at the most eat dairy produce such as cheese and the like, but not any actual meat.

Re: Locations that serve a "good" Amercian / English breakfast.

Just one word of warning - take care if you like HP Sauce. I've had their thin-downed version. Ended up with HP soup  To be honest, I have yet to go out for brekkie yet. So now have three to consider. One of those was Joes bar in 94, which you recommended, but where do you park there? By the...

Hua Hin Vegan

I thought this might be helpful if you have any vegan / veggie friends or relatives visiting and looking for somewhere to take them to eat. My sister and Brother in Law are 'born again' vegans of many years standing and visited HH in January. They compromise on their travels, so for example, will or...

Re: Locations that serve a "good" Amercian / English breakfast.

Just 135 baht at Route 88, including a good slice of toast with marmalade and Danish butter. 15 baht more gives you a cup of tea or fresh filter coffee. It was excellent and a real bargain. That does look good, apart from the egg, but that's because I am allergic to the stuff! But where exactly is ...

Re: Any vegetarian restaurants in Hua Hin?

The Vegan restaurant is very good. My sister and her husband are both vegans and we ate there twice back in January, when they were here. I have been meaning to do a review of it in case it was of interest to anyone else, so I will add that tomorrow now. I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but would happil...

Re: Grab Coming to Hua Hin

Well, I'll certainly watch this with interest. Used Grab a few times in Bkk and no complaints from me, especially to get to those places where the regular cabs like to say, 'nein', or want to agree a fee. I hate the fact when I call a cab here I never know whether I will get a car or songtaew type d...
