Re: TV series worth downloading

I liked Mob City but it seems to jump around a little too much. Add that to the fact some of the male leads look similar and what I have seen has confused me.

I liked the idea, I enjoy the noir style films, especially set in my back yard, LA. I'll have to line up a few episodes and see again!

Re: Thailand's educational spending highest in the world.

It's hard to imagine 3,600 hours. A couple doors down from my office is one of the Korean after hour schools. These have gotten quite popular, and there are students there in the evenings, weekends, and even during school holidays. They had classes the day before, and after, Christmas. Even with tha...

Re: Using good English Sausages and Bacon

Everything is better with Avocado! I learned that living 17+ years in California where it is used in half of the meals I ate at restaurants. Since bacon and avocado are two of my favorite things to eat I must try that sandwich, but I think it would be better on a bun or french loaf... :thu...

Re: Leaving a bar

My situation for meeting my GF was a bit different from most guys who meet bar girls - I was doing research for a novel and nonfiction essay about sex work. I barfined a ton of girls just so I could interview them. Granted, I doubt the mamasan would be sad to see me come back even without the relea...

Re: Phra Nakhon Khiri (Khao Wang), Petchaburi

I wish I was quick enough to have gotten a video of what happened when we took my mother in law there. She (70ish years old) was carrying a small bottle of drinking water and a monkey suddenly grabbed one end of it. She, being a tough old bird, hung on to the other end and a tug of war ensued for a...

Re: swimming pool small or big?

We were looking at pools a while back (here in California) and one of the most popular designs include a shallow, flat area with a hole in the bottom to put in a large umbrella. The idea being it's shallow enough to set a lounge chair in, cool off, and get out of the sun.

Re: Movies at Hua Hin Cinema

As a cinematic masterpiece it's not. I enjoyed the movie but its not like the well known samurai movies. I don't regret going but wouldn't repeat.
