That's amazing. I was there about 3 months ago and 2 of the bars that I used have gone - Manee and Loverly Bar. Both
were on the left hand side as you walked into the Soi from the main road. Surprised about Manee has it had not a bad afternoon crowd. Oh well.

Didn't know the man but he seems like a character. R.I.P and condolences to his family.

Got it now. Probably not worth waiting for but at least I've learnt 2 new things today.

I can recommend it also. I ate there a couple of times when I was over in September. First class Thai Food in my limited opinion. Your Thai lady will love it also as mine certainly did.

The big buses leave from the Southern Bus Terminal, Thon Buri, which as far as I'm concerned is a nightmare to get to. However there is now a big bus leaving from the airport. Level 1 gate 8 - I believe. I have not used it yet but I'm planning to do so when I'm back over in 2 weeks.

I've travelled down on the mini buses a few times and although cramped I've never experienced any problems. You do hear horror stories, and you only need to be unlucky once. I'm back in Thailand in a couple of weeks and I will probably use the airport bus to Hua Hin, which I believe drops you off at...
