Re: 1-1 Teaching Online

Also, there is really no reason to pay a large amount of money to get set-up teaching online. Some of the Chinese companies will even pay for you to take your Tesol if you sign up with them for a year.

Re: Visa extension - marriage vs retirement ?

Hi, I received my embassy letter today, unfortunately it says pensions on it rather than income (Marriage visa - under 50 yo) , is this likely to cause a problem at Hua Hin Immigration?! Should this document be translated into Thai? Also it says the monthly amounts in GBP rather than Baht so hopeful...

Re: Visa extension - marriage vs retirement ?

Hi, I'll be looking at getting my first 1 year extension based on marriage via savings in a Thai bank account and uk monthly income ( I'm due to send for my embassy confirmation letter next month) Why does the application have to go to Bangkok and how long before should I send the passport? Evening education for Thai adults.

Dear All,
I'm in the process of trying to find an adult education centre for a Thai friend who was taken out of school before finishing. Between Pranburi and North Cha-Am would be good.
mods, please move to another section if you wish

Re: babysitter and english teacher for children

Sorry, I'm confused, are you an English teacher or a baby sitter? It's two different jobs.
If you are an English teacher, please don't teach 'hey guys'...the education system here has got enough problems already without it being added to.

Re: Need privates english lessons

A Filipino teacher is fine if you want your daughter to sound like an American call-centre worker.
If you have a good grip of English and the time to spare I would teach her myself, until grade 1 or 2.

Re: Recognised paedophile bar owner

Good point Caller. If I had a spent conviction (whatever the crime) I wouldn't be happy with it still being in the media. Also the website is full of spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes and missed words. Just enjoy your 2 weeks in the sun Sallyanne :) Make your next post about what you did on your h...

Re: Recognised paedophile bar owner

So he was given a SOPO in 2010 lasting for 5 years....its 2017 now.
I wouldn't exactly invite him round for a dip in my pool but the sentence/punishment has been spent. Unless he ends up working in a Hua-hin school I wouldn't worry so much, there's probably worse sex offenders in TH.

Coffee, beer and burgers is a bit of an odd combo...nothing wrong with doing one thing well.
