Re: The Beer Thread 2
Definitely not tried it but using Google I found that they have a wide range of beers - not sure it’s 300 but coincidentally, one of my favourite beers Fullers London Pride was listed at 300 Baht for 500ml Insane price. Have to be desperate for a taste or much richer than me. For imported beer I'll...

Re: Astronomy, cosmology and space thread
Yes, I think I remember he chose not to believe due to absence of supporting proof, but didn't go so far as to say that others should not just follow faith if that's what they wanted. He liked to open it up to discussion though!

Re: Astronomy, cosmology and space thread
RIP Carl Sagan, astronomer, writer and firm supporter of SETI (9 November 1934 – 20 December 1996). Here's a chuckle for his molecules, wherever they may be. The words are his, from his book Pale Blue Dot.

Re: Thai Cheese
I have just discovered a new shop/café on the side road from Soi 94 (the same side as Ga Hanoi but about 150 meters further down). It sells a variety of cheeses made in Thailand (Brie, Camembert, Goat's cheese, etc. along with Salami and various different kinds of bread. I tasted several cheeses an...

Re: The Boxing Thread
I usually watch the 'big' boxing events particularly the heavyweights and also UFC. Used buffstreams.sx for a couple years and haven't encountered many issues. A few crashes here and there like the footy but just a quick reload of the page does the trick. Used vipstand for a good 5-10 years before ...

Re: The Rugby Thread
And then the news George North is calling it a day on his international career after this match.... After 110+ Caps for Wales and the Lions, fair play to him  I just pray this 6 Nations and his last match will not be a blot on his career!! I saw that this morning in the news. I'd hate for such...

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading
If anyone is as crazy as me and wants to watch the subtitled 30 part Chinese adaptation of Three Body download the VIKI WEBRip, not the AMZN one, as the AMZN subtitles miss whole scenes, like when an actor's thoughts are being spoken, and also words shown onscreen like computer screens, phone messag...

Re: Donation of used clothes.
I remembered, it's Siam Handlebar. I found a phone number 090 976 9919 (the one on their Facebook page doesn't work). If you can take clothes to them they distribute to the poor people in the jungle, and will let you know who they give to. Business Details: Cuisine: Multi-Cuisine Parking: Street par...

Re: Music - what are people listening to now?
I listen to a bit of morlam (molam) sometimes, music from the North Thailand/Laos Khmer region. Below is a beautiful example by the really gifted Maim Lis, although I often play the more dancy stuff the Isaan women sway to in HH bars when having a little party (I only go to a bar daytime outside of ...

Re: Donation of used clothes.
Anyone know somewhere they would take used clothes for donations? I'm a bit on the big side but for sure there must be somewhere which would like to receive good quality used clothing which I don't use or need anymore? I also would like to know. I've been giving new (still with price tag) unworn wo...
