Re: wood stains /wood preservatives

Thanks for the advice. I'll take a look in Home Pro next weekend and if either Cuprinol or Ronseal are available I will need to check the instructions, on the can, carefully.

Maybe they are not suitable for strong sun but they are for sure formulated for the wind and rain in the UK :D

Re: wood stains /wood preservatives

Thanks you make am excellent point on the prep and on the number of coats required in strong sunlight.  One side of my home is shaded, for a large part by trees and is not looking so bad. After only 18 months the sides that are cooked each day are in need of some real TLC I have followed the work on...

Re: wood stains /wood preservatives

Thanks for the reply. I haven't tried TOA yet. I think that I must have tried a good number of brands and all with differing results. I have found it very difficult to get a matt finish although the label clearly states matt finish.  Unless anyone else suggests something that they have had good succ...

Re: House rental problem

Hi Susan, as has been mentioned by previous posters, really should discuss these issues with the landlord. The landlord is responsible for the maintenance of the property and will need to authorize any work before the repair is made, which of course includes agreeing the price of the repair with the...

Re: Corrosion in swimming pools

As to the question of the OP, against all that we believe, stainless steel will corrode given the right circumstances (salt water and an electrical current which is generally present in a saline solution with metals present i.e. a low voltage battery). I remember, too long ago, whilst an apprentice,...

I am going through the same process. I have a Thai driving license for my car and now need to get a Thai motorcycle license. The following are the requirements as detailed by the Bangkok – Department of Land and Transport, yesterday applying to both car and motorcycle licenses (form handed out) THAI...
