Re: Premier League 2016-2017
Yes,after the first 4 matches its all started to go horribly wrong.....no plan,no passion, nothing. I don't know if its lack of confidence or players believing their own hype and thinking they are better than they actually are and just have to turn up. Rooney....absolutely atrocious in the 2nd half (...

Re: World Cup -18
For England the way forward has to be the likes of Forster,Shaw,Barkley and Rashford, none of whom featured last night. Jordan Henderson : Why on earth does he keep getting picked ? He's never International class and just an average Premiership player. Harry Kane : In Euro 2016 and last night,Harry R...

Re: Premier League 2016-2017
This must surely be Wengers last season......true they had injuries but he's not bought anyone again in pre-season apart from Xhaka who was deemed unfit after a gruelling Euro 2016 :alien: along with Koscielny and Giroud. A central defender should have been his main priority in the close season.Even...

Re: League 2 Season 2016-17
Good luck to your boys for the new season,BB.
I think your biggest rivals will be Portsmouth,Doncaster,Leyton Orient and Cheltenham.
I see the Championship favourites,Newcastle United, suffered a disappointing start to their campaign last night.

Re: Trip report: A visit to England after 18 years
An excellent report,as usual. Its been almost 9 years to the day since I was back in the UK.....how time flies ! What I miss about the UK is going to a pub for a decent draught beer and going to watch a live football match. I certainly don't miss the weather or the expense! What a shame you didn't ma...

Re: European Championship 2016
Many congratulations to the Welsh ! A thoroughly deserved victory ! Portugal look a dreary side and have yet to win a game over 90 minutes in this tournament! If they can beat Belgium they must fancy there chances against the Portugese, even without Ramsey and Davies. And Robson-Kanu.....wha...

Re: European Championship 2016
Absolutely abysmal ! The England players should all be thoroughly ashamed of themselves bar Rashford who had too little time to make an impact. Special mention,in particular,to Hart for his dreadful goalkeeping and to Rooney who looked like a pub player but none of them were worth more than 4 out of...

Re: Premier League 2016-2017
Yes,I think Vardy has made the right decision as well.Leicester play to his strengths and its difficult to see how he would fit in to Arsenals style of play. Also,I think Giroud is a decent enough striker at the Emirates....not world class but pretty good in the Premiership....Arsenal fans views may...

Re: European Championship 2016
And if England successfully negotiate one of Portugal,Hungary,Iceland or Austria, its odds on they will be facing France in the quarter finals in Paris !

Re: European Championship 2016
We shouldn't be too surprised that dumbo Woys experiment with 6 changes failed miserably. No way Wilshere and Henderson should have played. They are not international class and only in the squad because of the paucity of midfielders.Surely Ross Barkley would have been a better option than either of t...

Re: European Championship 2016
Man of the match for England must surely have been right back,Kyle Walker. He was fantastic going forward in the second half as well as defending well. Some decent performances, too, from Lallana,Smalling,Sturridge and Rooney. Bales free kick was good but Hart should have saved it comfortably. It would ...

Re: European Championship 2016
I think our canny, lifelong,Arsenal fan arcadian is making a subtle reference to the England striker,Harry Kane, who gave a lethargic performance last night apart from taking corners ! After England scored I think Woy should have substituted 'Arry for Vardy who could have run at the Russian defence al...

Re: The World's Highest-Paid Athletes 2016
ph, Falcao was a Colombian striker (I use the term "striker" loosely here :blues: )who played for a season for both Manchester United (where he earned around 285k a week) and Chelsea. At both clubs he was absolutely pathetic.I doubt if he scored 5 goals in the two seasons ?? I think,someho...
