Re: Passing the Life in UK Test

I'm sorry, but I'm confused now? FLR has always been available from within the UK as the SV is expiring, especially where the spouse can't go for ILR as they haven't passed the LITUK test or the ESOL thing with Citizenship. Obviously, if they have managed either of these things, ILR is the better op...

15 straight international wins, I think, before this. The great under achievers along with Holland.
Not quite - they got beaten by the team England drew with in the first game recently! :thumb:

Re: Political un-rest and rally

Is that the 2nd, 3rd or 4th time that 'down-trodden poor' thing has been posted here? Its been posted everywhere, but generally a few weeks ago now. Its actually someones blog, the details of which have been posted elsewhere. I won't put the link here as my security identified 4 threats from the guy...

Re: Football World Cup 2010

At last, a Prime Minister prepared to take on the lefty, hand-wringing, Town Hall PC brigade. He has ordered the flag of St.George to be flown above 10 Downing Street. Good for him. So have many local councils actually! We even have them in our (bit of a large) open plan office. In fact where I wor...

Re: Football World Cup 2010

Well, lets get it out the way. That was a game we could have won, should have won and deserved to win. Lets start with Mr. Capello. Milner clearly wasn't fit and lasted, what - 30 minutes. Dumb selection. Ledley King. Never fit, never in the England equation because of it. Lasted one half (just). Ju...

Re: Migrants to UK will now require English test

Many postings are hearsay and the information is sometimes distorted but the general message behind the theme is disturbing and I think people should think about it more and not sweep it under the carpet Richard, if you are talking about your post. I can state with absolute certainty, from professi...

Re: Passing the Life in UK Test

It's just got much harder!

In future, the English test, to a childs level, will take place before the visa is approved.

Re: Passing the Life in UK Test

Dodgy English schools will be the next growth industry !! They're already all over the place - and quite well known! Used by those claiming visas to the UK and for those here, seeking an exemption to paying Council Tax. As regards ESOL, which is meant to be regulated, a few places are already known...

Re: Passing the Life in UK Test

I'm sure you're aware, but isn't it disgusting that they're sending wives and mothers back to Thailand if they fail to achieve the qualification within 2 years? They're making them re-apply for a visa in their home country again. We've actually got a young mum here in Bristol being sent back to Tha...
