Re: Phone Stalls, Top Floor Market Village

For a 2 metre phone charging cable, for my bedside, I now only buy branded names at appropriate locations, or directly from places like Power Mall. I seemed to be forever going through cheap cables, that it became a false economy.

Re: Major Economic Issues For Thailand

A good article from Al Jazeera, basically spells out what has gone wrong for Thailand, as discussed by Thai academics. Pity they don't get aired here. Nothing unknown, just reassuring to hear Thais talk about it. https://www.aljazeera.com/economy/2024/4/1/thailands-economy-stumbles-as-philippines-vi...

Re: Indian restaurants in Hua Hin

Anyone tried the Indian Hut opposite the Hilton yet? I say yet I assume it opened recently?? It's been open a while now and titles itself as being, 'the best authentic indian food in Hua Hin'. But it's location means it's probably easier for tourists to visit than expats. They got told off elsewher...

Re: Chiang Mai Listed Where Couple Can Retire for US$1,500/month

I really liked Nong Khai, spent a couple of nights there once after visiting Vientiane, I thought it had a really nice vibe, especially along the river front. It was the same in Vientiane as well, except the other side of the Mekong! Alas, the other half is from KK, so knows NK and Ventiane well, so...

On trophies won, 5th ranked behind Fergie, Wenger, Guardiola and Mourinho, who has won 5 more trophies than Klopp (so far).

Okay, I just wondered if the fact they have their own entrance might have made a difference. Loos are just by the shop as well.

Re: The Beer Thread 2

Is it actually open yet? Or is this just pre-opening spiel? Last time I looked in Bluport, it didn't even look like any work had been done. I've not been but according to FB there is a live band playing tonight, 8.30 -10.30 so must be open now. I should have come back to answer my own question. Yes...

The Vietnamese are coming! https://www.khaosodenglish.com/news/2024/03/27/vietnamese-automaker-vinfast-to-start-selling-evs-in-thailand/ Its a sign of Thailands decline over the last 20 years, that another SE Asian country is ahead of Thailand in producing it's own EV, or any vehicle for that matter.

I've had some sellers that ship here over the years. Mainly books and music.

I also have a .com account, which seems to be easier for shipping.
