Re: Where are the best eateries? In town or on the outskirts
I don't think 200bt - 250bt (average price in Hua Hin, regardless of location, it would seem) is massively expensive. Remember to serve good pizzas you have to have a wood or stone oven installed. I guess they cost a bit to run, and they take up a fair amount of space .

Not tried Casa Mia. But Roma? Seriously? They have to have the blandest Pizzas I have come across in Thailand (except for "The Pizza Company", of course!)johnnyk wrote:2 best pizzas IMO are ROMA and Casa Mia. Others are tasteless to me.

Re: Where are the best eateries? In town or on the outskirts
I would never usually consider eating at a place which is first and foremost a bar (aside from nibbles or on the odd occassion when I'm too lazy/drunk to move on!), but I was sitting there having a beer with my girlfriend one day and a pizza went walking past me on its way to another table. It smelt...

Re: Where are the best eateries? In town or on the outskirts
There's about 5 Pizza restaurants on corners near the Hilton! :) I think I know the one you mean. Roberto's or something? I always used to like going there but the last time we went, last week (first time in a year or so), it was pretty disappointing. The bruscetta was basigally garlic bread with a ...

The easiest way is to get her to download and install TeamViewer
Then you need to do the same. she gives you her 'partner id' and password and you can log in and take control

Re: When was your first visit to Hua Hin?
2004 - After staying in Cha-Am for 3 days, I only intended to stay a couple of days before heading further south, but consistent hangovers prevented me from leaving. Came back to Hua-Hin every visit to Thailand since, and soon decided it was where I wanted to settle. Finally made it, nearly 8 years ...

Re: 2012 F1 Pool
Still no word on the commentary line up. The closest clue I have found is that Steve Slater's blog on ESPN hasn't been updated since 2 December last year. With Gary Anderson having gone over to BBC, is it possible that ESPN have dropped Mr Slater and decided to take the Sky feed for commentary? Noth...

Re: The thing you miss the most?
Have you tried 'Pad Pong Galee'? It's a stir fired dish which tastes very close to a Chinese chicken curry, though the sauce is quite thick.
Apparently you can also get Keang Galee too, which is a curry that uses the same paste. Haven't tried it yet, so can't vouch for its taste.

Re: Tips to keep an inordinate amount of birds away from hou
It's probably not a practical solution and I don't know if it works for all kinds of birds, but back in England you can keep seagulls away from your property by, uh, hanging a dead one from the chimney!

Re: 90 Day Reporting / Change of Address
Remember that Imm might well want to see some rental contract or other evidence that demonstrates you live at the address you state, both for any notification of change of address or for your extension. Could be tricky. I'm living at my girlfriend's house, so I have no documentation to prove I'm li...

90 Day Reporting / Change of Address
I am on a 90 day Non-Immigrant single entry Visa, which I will need to extend in April on the basis of continuing my studies. The question I have is this: The address on my landing card is not the address I am currently staying at, or will be staying at in April when it comes to reporting. Am I supp...
