Re: Getting a Green Card covid vaccine certificate

If it's true that the emergency decree is lifted and CCSA disbanded at the end of the month (https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2177327/govt-may-lift-emergency-decree) then everything could change next month regarding vaccine status, ATK tests, etc. Prayuth probably had enough of taking th...

Re: Hua Hin dual-track rail project to go ahead

As can be seen on many major roads Thailand has clearly mastered the building of u-turn bridges. This is a hard-earned skill that must be maintained and repurposed where possible, such as by building u-turn bridges as railway crossings. It also means that SRT largely only needs to utilise its alread...

Re: Killer cop still at large following drug suspect torture

The news this morning had a report about a gold shop robber being identified as a cop. Perhaps if these new rules had been issued earlier he wouldn't have done it.

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19

Shameful Thailand! Elderly left behind Malaysia had fully vaccinated at least 64% of its senior citizens by Aug 2. In Thailand, it's 6.7% - less than the 10.2% of the total population, including children . https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2174151/elderly-lag-behind-in-covid-vaccination-d...

Re: A Covid-19 experience

I got it most likely on my travel to work from Thailand to West Africa. Never really could pin-point exact where I got it so it was either on the flights or in the airports. I was negative before departure and negative on arrival, but during quarantine 5 days later I felt something like a cold brew...

5,058 (-35) patients are in critical condition, with 1,062 (-5) of them on ventilators.
And yet again most of the 256 fatalities are not from the critical group.

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19) News

In the attached graphic on the situation today we can see that cases are now on a downward trend. But if we look at the graph for testing (7 day average, as at 2 days ago) we can see that numbers of tests are going down also. Any connection between the two? The deaths graph is still trending upwards...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19) News

So 264 deaths reported today. And only 16 (or 18, depending on how you read it) of those were considered critical. How bad does a patient have to be to be considered critical, but dies anyway?

Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin/Prachuap

I had a look at the details of the 3 deceased reported today for Prachuab. None of them were vaccinated. 1. Female, scared by reports on TV news. 2. Female, worried about reported side effects. 3. Male. Had no one to take him, so was waiting for tessaban (Pranburi). I've noticed (via my wife) that t...
