Is it possible to buy a car ( private) or take ownership of a car without having a long stay visa. Same with driving licence
can you get one without the long stay visa ?

i agree 10% with stevepiraq. look to rent for a long enough time to see all the pit falls and problems before you make that decision to buy.

All the Thai embassy web sites i have looked at say the "O" visa is for visiting Thai family, Thai wife or husband etc.
it looks like a 60 day tourist visa is available with multi entry. am i looking in the wrong place!.

30 day visa change to a non imm "O" visa
is it possible to convert a 30 day visa to a Non Immigrant "O" visa while in Thailand.

was in Hanoi last week and no visa needed for UK passport holders. i hope this continues after the 30th of June, it makes things so easy and can only be good for the tourist industry.

won't work for me, it asks for passport details which i enter exactly as it says in my passport then it tells me my passport details are wrong. i have had 3 new passports in the last 16 years since i left the uk wonder if that has anything to do with it.

i have rented a pick up from Keith and Som at carhuahin many times, the service they give is superb. i get the airport bus from Bangkok to the bus station in Hua Hin where Keith and Som are there to meet you and drop off the same, so easy.

anyone know where i could buy a thermostat for a whirlpool oven. i can buy one online out of the uk but if anyone knows if there is a place in Hua Hin or someone who could repair it that would be great. bloody oven is 6 years old but has never been used.
