Re: Why do YOU think the Thais are such bad drivers?

Here I am again..no, not gonna mention that F-word.. :naughty: Hey, I agreed with you, but unusually it was you, not me who got taken to task  I thought it quite ironic that I found a decent Fortuner taxi driver a couple of days later. So good that I insisted we use him each time we went anyw...

Re: Why do YOU think the Thais are such bad drivers?

strange how often it's a Fortuna and I shudder to imagine the complete wanker that must be behind the wheel. :guns: I know US had his wrist slapped by a few members a week or so ago when mentioning Fortuna taxi drivers. I must say, we used a Fortuna taxi a few times while in Udon a couple of weeks ...

Re: Why do YOU think the Thais are such bad drivers?

One thing I regularly notice when stopped at traffic lights. I always become surrounded by motorcycles in front and on both sides. However, its never a problem because Thai motorcyclists always go when the countdown clock is red/3 seconds. By the time the lights turn green, the motorcyclists are wel...

Re: Tourist killed by elephant in Kaeng Krachan

Yes, there were gruesome photos on Facebook yesterday evening - I didn't report it then because there was no source other than the photos. The elephant stomped her arm first, and then her head, after initially knocking her from the bike with its trunk.

I can't explain it, but one of the mini-buses in our convoy last weekend kept doing it :?

Re: Why do YOU think the Thais are such bad drivers?

I actually find Thai drivers consistent/predictable. Yes, you've got to stay alert, but having got used to their ways, they're not so bad. I actually wonder what Thais make of foreigners, and their strange habits e.g. using your right indicator if turning right, or switching your lights on at night ...

Re: Hua Hin City FC

The question is, will they risk an unfit Anucha? If they do, can he do a job?

He tried to join in with the pre-match activities at Prachinburi, but was clearly in a lot of pain.

I'd also like to see Yonsak back on the wing after injury - he's scored some crucial goals this season.

So your fears are the same as mine. It's not the wife, it's the extended family.

Re: Hua Hin City FC

Possibly, but as with most things in Thai football, we'll find out the truth when they work it out it happens. As with things like the Thai offside rule or how to take throw ins, trying to make comparison with real football is confusing. My son plays for a mainly farang team here in Hua Hin, and wee...

Re: CCTV in Hua Hin

I know that they're not there due to serious incidents being reported daily with no CCTV. Is that fact, or is it that victims don't have a CCTV mindset, and it's too much trouble for BIB to wade through hours of video tape? I must admit, if I'd left something somewhere as you did, CCTV would have b...

Re: CCTV in Hua Hin

Is that not rather negative? We know corporate organisations have them. I spotted one the other day. US has told us of 2 more. CCTV saved your iPad. Why are you so sure they aren't already out there, but haven't been noticed? Personally, I think you raised an interesting question in your original po...

Re: CCTV in Hua Hin

...someone then needs to check/watch the screens in the MiB's huts... I'm probably doing my brother a dis-service, but he's been a lazy git most of his life  . One of his 'non'-jobs was monitoring CCTV in Bath. He had no training, and didn't really know what to do if he spotted somethi...

Re: CCTV in Hua Hin

I must admit, I was very surprised to see the camera on Friday night, but unless you're a hardened criminal, I don't suppose you go looking for them. Personally, I was just bored waiting for a bus :D . The question about whether any cameras work is genuine. There used to be a sensitive government of...
