Re: Speed Limits to be Halved?
What speed limit? They can reduce it to 20 km/hr and nobody will give a shite if it is not being enforced, controlled and fined by the MiB.

Re: Animal abuse Thailand
Hi guys,
There is the TSPCA (Thai Society for the Prevention of Animal Cruelty) based in BKK.
http://www.thaispca.com/en/index.php
Not sure if they are willing or able to help, but it is worth a shot.....
Cheers,
B.

Yeah, I was at Kwality on Sunday and waited over an hour for the food...but well worth the wait! Owner apologized a hundred times.

Re: Indian restaurants in Hua Hin
Do you know if they deliver? I'm a bit out of town but would order a decent amount.

Asked the owner last time and no, they don't deliver. The owner hates to say "no", but he doesn't have the capacity. Either dine-in or pick-up.
Cheers,
B

Re: Any drivers from Austria?
Hi nellyp,
I actually didn't need an international license in Cha-Am. I used my EU Austrian license (pink one) and it was no problem. If she still has the pre-EU-era license, she should definitely get an international one.
Cheers,

Re: Big Bike Insurance
Hi SydneyGuy,
Also have my Z800 insured with Lockton. Had to use them once so far (after a pick-up decided to take a left turn on the inside lane without signaling) and no problems with Lockton.
Safe riding,
B.

Re: Hua Hin Beach Polo 2017
BB. can I ask where you found the Thai text? I would like to forward it to the Organizer and the PR Agency to go through it and see if it is an official release. Sorry for the trouble. All in all it is a public beach and people can watch the game. However if you want to take advantage of the food st...

Re: Hua Hin Beach Polo 2017
There is definitely no dual pricing! Tickets sell at THB 1,500 and proceeds will be donated to a charitable cause. The text in Thai states that all are invited to join, then gives information that the annual tournament is brought to you by Proud Real Estate and B.Grimm and the last sentence states t...

Re: InterContinental Resort Hua Hin events and promotions
No I believe you are wrong: CPA Accounting Tools explain the difference as follows: The gross cost of an item is the sum total of all costs involved in making or acquiring it. In contrast, the net cost is the gross cost minus financial gains derived from the production or acquisition of the item. H...

Re: InterContinental Resort Hua Hin events and promotions
I think you'll find that net means the service charge and VAT are included; if it's not, they usually add ++ after the price. Absolutely correct, the ++ would state that you need to add 17.7% tax and service charge. THB 1,599net means it is including tax and service charge, so you will end up payin...

Re: Opening of Ratchapakdi Park
It's only 10 to 15 minutes south of Hua Hin (around Khao Tao) and I would recommend to stop by at the park if you are already planning a trip to Khao Tao, Pranburi or Sam Roi Yot. For me 10 minutes are enough to visit the park, it does have some nice photo opportunities though.
